Looking forward to not having gym... hopefully... if it's a choice between gym and algebra, I'll take the gym.
With any luck, Orchestra'll overlap gym.
Looking forward to different teacher- my lineup is:
Ms. O, the McGonnagal of the school- She's cool! Fors language arts, my favorite subject when it's taught by someone decent
Mr. I, the Snape of the school- 'nuff said... jerk x.X For science...
Mr. B, the Lupin of the school, from what I've heard- Yay! For social studies!
Ms. ?, the math teacher whose name I forget. Is generally too easy, but... meh, she makes people who don't do their homework dance with the teachers at the beginning of class! There's som humor!
And, the Communist Electives (We don't get to pick electives till 8th grade)
Ms. Bombadil, as I call her- music teacher. She has us repeat things over and over and over- at least, so say band. She also teaches Orchestra, but I only had her 20 min a day last year. We don't get very good music... which is why I'm gonna try to slip the Braveheart theme in her folder!
Ms. Z, the EVIL! Gym teacher. Somewhere between Umbridge, Snape, and Trelawney. Shudder.
Ms. Doesn'tknowspanish, the languages teacher. She teaches spanish and french, niether of which she can speak. Next time I get into the public library I'll memorize some line in Pelennor in spanish, tell it to Ms. Doesn'tknowspanish, and she'll say, "That's nice dear, I'm glad to see you're learning so much." Ugh. I already tried saying "I fear niether death nor pain" and that's the reaction I got.
Ms. Marianmadamlibrarian, the tolerable!Librarian/typing teacher. She's nice, if a little clueless about LOTR...
Plus I can get creative writing and art club after school.
So.. yeh, I'm kinda looking forward to it. Course, in middle school, it's a little hard to look forward to friends. Sure, for the first week or so they'll be normal and themselves... and then it's the "you're gay, she's gay, this is gay, that is gay" routine. And then there's the arguments over REALLY stupid things, like whether Eo's drawing looks like a LOTR char or a superhero, and why it matters, and what defines a superhero, and what defines a LOTR character, and what a Furre is. It's just annoying. I've resolved never to have drawing contests with people of the opposite gender. We all argue which is best, and it's EVIL.
O.O.... back to the point. I'm not looking forward to sports, just some of the teachers and the five-day field trip the aforementioned Ms. O takes her students on!
