Oh, I really liked the Paris Bennett girl. I think she's really good, she gave me chills too when I heard her, 17 woah. I thought it was funny that she got hit with the door at the end of her audition though . I hope she gets far

I don't really keep up with AI. I might keep the later episodes on in the background while I'm working on homework to give me something to listen to, but I'm not exactly a diehard fan of the series.

Just finished watching the Austin episode (yes, we do get AI in the UK, even if it is about 4 days later than you guys) and, wow. Only 12 people got through?!
Personally, I liked the Embalmer. His voice was actually quite good. But the smug guy who was chatting up all of the ladies, I really didn't like him. If he gets through to the finals, then god help you all.
And it's a pity the Jigglypuff guy didn't get through. I would have bought his record!

Ya know...
I think Simon may've been right when he said Carrie Underwood would be the biggest American Idol. She's got the number one spot in Country Music right now... and thats a pretty big deal. Not a bad song either. I know Josh whosits been doing not so badly as well, but I find it amusing that a country singer won AI.

Carrie is on her way but I don't think she's going to break farther than Kelly Clarkson. But than again, I could be wrong. She is really talented.

Maybe it's just the circle I run in... but I don't think Kellys all that big. I think Carrie... given the proper chance, and the same oppurtunities will be far bigger then Kelly was. Pop stars don't normally last forever, Country stars can keep going and going and going...

I agree to an extent, Carrie can become really huge if given the chance. But there are many pop stars that have kept going (Prince, Madonna, etc...).
But I am hoping Carrie does something big, I do like her voice and her song "Some Hearts" is pretty nice.

Very few pop stars last as long as Prince or Madonna. If you look at Country music, it's quite different. Maybe it's the smaller fan base, or just the fact that Country doesn't seem to change as quick as Pop... but I seem to think Carrie in the end'll have more staying power.
