For those topics one could describe as the forum equivalent of a twinkie. Word games, forum contests and giveaways are all the rage here.

Photos!? Haha! I'm doing that right now! I'm popular with the children and the elderly, therefore I'm pretty much a shoe in... even though I had no prior knowledge of my running before about... half a minute ago. :P

Vote for me.

I would like to nominate: Dragonfire, the_dog_god, Christopher, and Kugetsu since the wise and beautiful DM needs some pathetic pion (my, not DM's, opinion) to run against.

We all know a decorated war veteran, tireless charity worker, and Nobel Peace Prize winner like DM will win, but it would be unfair to let DM win unopposed.

Vote DM! If you were running for Unofficial President, she'd vote for you.

That's an awesome show. Awesome, awesome, AWESOME show...

However, what isn't awesome is this video footage of Kugetsu and DM burning down an orphanage. Those poor, poor orphans...

Well, it appears that TDG was in the orphanage, eating babies and children (and staff) until DM and Kugetsu tried to burn him down.

We at the DM for Unofficial President Campaign Headquaters have no knowledge of the events in question. We find it appalling that the TDG and Kugetsu campaigns would stoop to such dishonest smear tactics that take attention away from the real issues. We encourage the other candiadates to stick to the issues and not degrade their image and reputation by resulting to slander.

Actually, I got there too late and all the babies were taken by Roll :

[EDIT] - AHA! There's your proof ladies and gentlemen, DM is printing "issues"! Issues of what you ask ? Issues of newsletters telling children to throw dogfood at eachother! Is that the sort of person you want as Unofficial President ??

Why does this just sound like a popularity contest?

Mon Feb 06, 2006 1:12 pm

DM, how come everyone but you needs five nominations...?

Mon Feb 06, 2006 4:15 pm

I, Ixistant, being of my own free will and not having a gun pointed towards my head, nominate TDG to be PPT President.

Now please, for the love of god, give me back Mr Snufflepuff!!!

My thoughts outlined in brief. ^

All elections are. No matter who has the best ideas for leading; no matter who has the best plans for the future; no matter who has the perfect exit strategy, plan for global peace, cure for a bad economy, vision of the future, it all comes down to who is more popular and who can say the opinions by slandering their opponent as much as possible. That was exact reason my HS always elected the same people every year. It was always the best looking girl or 'coolest' jock. Same reason why my favorite country on Earth is so messed up (well, almost the same reason since I forgot to mention rigging elections and buying votes, which also happened in HS).

The real point is that this is for fun, so lets have fun.

Yes but feelings could be hurt in this, therefore making it unfun. There are plenty of ways to have fun rather than an ego-boosting popularity contest and I, for one, won't be taking part. </two cents>

If you want to look it that way, the PPTBIES are probably pretty much like that too. DM probably didnt mean it as a popularity contest or to break somebody.

Probably?! It's DM we're talking about here. She's nicer than nice!

Trust me, this wasn't set up to be a popularity contest. And like others have said, the PPTBies is essentially a popularity contest, and did I feel sad that I wasn't nominated for "Best Female Member"? Of course not.

Even if I did spend thousands on gender reassignment surgery just so I could be nominated in the catagory.

I'm off to eat my feelings away.

Vote DM!

Back on PT-109, DM tutored a young John Kennedy about courge and was luckly transfered before that ship's fateful voyage. After earning her wings, DM was the co-pilot on the Enola Gay in August of 1945.

In Korea, DM and her wingman were shot down shot down across the Chinese border. DM singlehandedly carried her wingman through enemy lines and back to Seoul. Not stopping there, DM swam to Tokyo with her wingman on her back to get him to a better hospital and away from Alan Alda. Naturally, DM won a Medal of Honor.

Woah! Cool, as you know I am DM's second hand in command, the vice-president. Welcome Sky, to DM's campaign. I hope you are accepted.

Vote DM 2006!

EDIT: Guys this is just to fun. You're allowed to debate, and do other 'poltical' stuff. But make sure you hurt noone's feelings. And other people, DM's intention was not to have a popularity contest. She's nice! =)
