REAL February 8 News!

#1 Post by May »

8th February

* Today is randomly dedicated to the Biscuit! They come in all shapes, sizes, and flavours, and they are fun to sneak when no one is looking.

* You can't have biscuits without something to store them in! Head over to the Furniture Shop to pick yourself up a lovely biscuit jar.

* Some delightful new Poems are now on display. Apparently no one likes biscuits enough to write poetry about them. :(

* If your Ruki or Chomby has been pining for a new colour, how about Biscuit?

* Flaming_pheonix_ has won the latest Gallery Spotlight with a gallery called Breakfast Break.

* New Feature! - You can now set up a PIN for things like your Bank Account, Safety Deposit Box, and other important places. This is all optional, of course! You can read more about it and set it all up by visiting the PIN preferences page.

* Head over to the Food Shop if you'd like to try one of these new biscuits for dessert.

* Xmssndztdpnoyx's has won the User Lookup of the Week with a rather fanatical Jhudora lookup.

* Cave of Fire by skinnyfroglegs has just won this week's Faerie Caves Spotlight.

* Can you think of something witty for the latest Caption Contest?

* This week's Petpet Spotlight goes to Blaze the Baby Fireball. Congratulations to HAPPY_THE_NICE_THE_2 and cleature.

* Biscuits aren't just for eating! They can aid you greatly in the Battledome, but only if you hurry over to the Battle Magic Shop and pick one up.

* Congratulations to altar_alchemist_ryo, winner of this week's Meridell Castle Spotlight!

* Last but not least, there is a new Biscuit Shop Blog available to entice your customers!

I deleted my thread in favor of this one. :P

It's a bit silly that they offer the option to us, then tell us that only beta testers can use it. I hope it's just a matter of "we haven't actually activated it yet."

Interesting.... the Cookie (yes I know they call it biscuit, but they are BRITS and I am NOT so THERE!) Ruki and Chomby were released, but not the paintbrush....
Go then... there are other worlds than these...

Ka is a wheel...

The man in black fled across the desert... and the Gunslinger followed

So, I guess I'm the only one who is totally unimpressed with the biscuit (or cookie) pb? I was so hoping for a "ninja" oriental/asian pb ... there's the gorgeous geisha flotsam, ninja aisha and kacheek, an adorable Chinese wocky, etc. shopkeepers.

But a cookie pet? Sorry, it just doesn't do it for me. The biscuit weapons are fun, those I do like.

Hope they get the PIN activated for everyone ASAP! It's a really nice feature. Needs 2 more areas added, IMHO - user pref and changing email. If someone were to get into your account, they really couldn't do much if they needed a pin to try to change your password or your email.

Actually it has been changed so that you can require a PIN in order to change email. I'm really, really thrilled with that change.

Ohhhh, thanks! I hadn't seen that email changing had been added. Now to just put the pin needed for changing password! I really think this will be a help against the scammers/crackers/hackers/cg'ers/brute forcers. It sure will be alot more work for them! Maybe they'll go find something positive to do with their (apparently too much free) time.

I think they've said earlier, that the intention with the pound would never be to transfer pets, as it would enhance the chances of people selling them ?

Yep.

Neopets will never make it easier to transfer pets. Get used to it :)

I see another lawsuit in TNT's future.

Dear Sirs,

The other day, I caught my daughter taking a cookie from our cookie jar. My daughter is a perfect little angel who would never do anything wrong. When I confronted her about taking the cookie, she replyed. "It is not a cookie. It's a biscut." Telling she was in a silly mood, I asked her why she took the "biscut" from the jar. She replied "Neopets told me to." Needless to say, neopets.com was on the banned sites list within the hour. How can you expect to function as a child friendly site when you encourage children to disobey their parents?

:P
