Neopets email blocked by Spamhaus?

Has anyone run into this - I'm trying to change my email account and I just got a message from TNT saying that the email blocked because of
'451 http://www.spamhaus.org/SBL/sbl.lasso?query=SBL34861'

This is problematic, to say the least...has anyone run into this? Is there a way to work around this problem via a form?

Yes, I have dealt with this. My ISP uses spam filtering through spamhaus and once a company is blacklisted you can't get mail from them. I first had my ISP "whitelist" neopets so I could get mail from Neopets. However, this didn't work for long (not sure why). Eventually what I had to do was how all spam filtering removed from my account and that fixed this.

This was the problem I had with Operamail about two or so years back. Someone scammed into my hotmail account so I changed my Neopets account to Operamail, not knowing that they blocked the Neopets email domain due to "spam related issues." I think it took me about a year and half to get my main account back because Neo way back then didn't have to submission forms to prove your account and such.

Ooh.. I'm sorry this is happening to you, but at the same time I'm SO happy I'm not the only one. >_<;;

The other day I changed my PIN, and what I thought I changed it to turns out to NOT actually be what I changed it to at all, but I couldn't send for it because of this spamhaus thing. I've been sending a bunch of reports, hoping that TNT will disable my PIN and let me change my email address.

Curious.. are you using Lycosmail too?

You can test an email account first by sending one of the Neo Greetings to it. If it is received at that account, then email from Neopets is getting through. If not, then you'll have to use a different account.

My issue appears to have resolved itself - I was using one of my real emails, registered through my ISP - I received the email about 5 hours after I requested it be sent.

Good tip about attempting to send a neogreeting, if I need to change again I will definitely try that first...
