I sent an email to TNT suggestion more PIN options. Perhaps more people should pester them as well. Our equipment is safe, but petpets aren't. Many are just as valuable!

I totally agree. What about our neohome items? There is no PIN protection for them and they are some of the most valuable things I have left now.

Magica wrote:Well it appears that TNT has blocked a lot of html and css coding for the time being. A lot of "blocked" on User lookups, Shops, Galleries, Pet lookups, Petpages, and Guilds.

EDIT: Never mind, it's fixed.

The link in my lookup to the Turmaculus no longer works. The "eval" in "medieval" is considered an "invalid word." Hopefully they will fix this soon...

I don't like how stocks arn't proteced either. I've got ~300k worth of stocks right now, and would not be at all happy if somebody sold them all, and chucked the np to a side.

The ONLY way I can think of being safe from this is to deposite any np on hand immediatly, since you need 20 np for Nigel's "Commison," That way they can't sell the stocks...easily anyway.

Doesn't the 20np come out of the money earned from the shares?

Also, it wouldn't be hard to play 1 game to earn the np

Nope, I've tried to sell shares with nothing on hand before, it won't let you. Annoying to say the least.

True, but there is a chance that they won't want to go through the trouble. xD There's nothing one can really do, outside of PIN's, to protect your stocks.

I want my ring of the lost back. Since TNT already has a database field for 'no trade' (e.g. the mysterious scroll and starter paint brushes, etc.), then I would be willing to accept a return of this hard earned item under the condition that it can never be traded (I spent months working on the plot and am very proud of my accomplishments and I am a fighter).

That said why not add the 'no trade' field as a user option for any of our items that way we can start protecting things regardless of where they are (i.e., SDB, gallery, inventory, battledome, neohome). It doesn't address stocks and trades, but it might reduce the code/time needed to add the extra PINs everywhere... just a thought.

still in shock from my loss.

Thanks for the warning. I'll be canceling the water faerie quest I've been waiting to do when things clear up.

Its scary, really... And that a kid could do such a thing! You gotta admire his bravery- and you cant say hes stupid either(look at all hes done) but I'm sure one day he'll slip...
Unfortunately there's a lot of people who are doing it too- not just Kaos. Only they're not as well known...

First of all, it's not bravery. Bravery is what makes firemen go into burning buildings to save children. Hiding behind an internet alias while you screw with people on a game site because you say you're trying to teach TNT a lesson is not bravery.

Second, for all we know he could be stealing his coding from somewhere and TELLING everyone he wrote it. You don't have to be smart to do something like that. And even if he IS some amazing coding genius, he's using all his marvelous intelligence to hack a game site. That makes him stupid.

Touche. Also, since it's JUST an internet alias, who is to say it's the real Kaos? Could just be a copy cat using the name for fame...more like infamy actually...

*applauds* Here, here!

And that aside, I'm wondering- if your CG'd on Neopets, would whoever nabbed them have the cookies for other sites?

Agrees with Erin. Kula, from my limited understanding, no ... only your Neo cookies. Of course, I clear everything after I visit any site. Just something I've always done. Whether that makes me any safer in general I don't know.

I don't know exactly what TNT was doing the other day when lookups went wonky. I'm guessing they were looking for bad stuff? Whatever they did, and I'm not bashing here, it apparently wasn't enough. A few people have been grabbed via shops in the last couple of days. So be careful out there!
