Kelly has been popular for a while now. I do think that the change between country and pop music plays a lot on how long someone is popular, pop changes styles way more than country...if that's possible :P. For a singer to stay long with pop they have to be able to adapt. I know Kelly is still big, and she probably will be for a while. I don't think Carrie is that big at all, but I think I can't really judge because I don't listen to country. I've only heard Carrie's song in a christian radio station.

She's fairly big in the country music industry.

I've heard Jesus Take the Wheel on my local stations, and HISRadio.
If you're on HISRadio, and your song is new, be honoured. Be honoured indeed.

That is all.

Man, I cracked up so hard at that. I think it may have brought a tear to my eye. It just brought back so many odd memories :P

I only came on this thread to bring that up! HAHA ohhh gosh. That was creepy. But I bet he got a dare from his friends or something.... i dont think anyone would think they can win american idol with THAT....

LOL! I'd give anything to find that audition video on the web- or even a voice clip. That was the most hilarious thing of the entire episode that evening. And of course he was dared to, I don't think any man would do that if they weren't bribed a few $50s. :P

I don't really get the whole Kellie Pickler fangroups and such. Sure, she can sing, but she can't really sing with music behind her, and her voice is good, but not great.

But of course, she will make it to the final 12 because she has a bad home story that makes everyone feel for her, and is a cute little blonde girl.

Lesigh.

Yep... She can sing and all but I don't think she's all that great.
It's like left over from last season Carry fans.
If people wanna waste their votes on her though... well whatever. Just so long as she doesn't win.

And seriously... WTcrud was up with the criminal twins being shown all over the place?
Like anyone gives a flying turd what they think about the other contestants.
Like anyone even cares about them now considering that they're in jail..or was arrested or whatever it was.

And I really hope that one girl doesn't survive the next round.. the one that was sick and was like "Even the people I know I'm better than are singing better than me." and "I know I'm better than alot of people here and blah blah blah lets make my head just a little bit bigger.." bs.
I swear... I don't know about other people but stuck up self centered people like that who have to put themselves over other people like that make me sick.

Katharine McPhee is, so far, my absolute favorite. In fact, I think she has the best voice I've heard in a VERY long while. She is going to go very far in this competition, mark my words. For those of you who don't remember, she's the one sang "I'll Never Love This Way Again" right before Crazy Dave.

Trailing not far behind her on my list of favorites are Lisa Tucker, Paris Bennett, and Chris Daughtry. In that order.

Yeah, Katharine McPhee is definitely the total package. She's gorgeous*, she's got a great voice, and her ego is not the size of Australia. She'll definitely go far.

*Not saying this is the most important factor in life, but on American Idol, it (sadly) makes a big deal.

UUUUUUUUUUGH
WHY do they keep focusing on those 2 freakin attention skank moron twins!!!!!!!
I just wanna punch their overdramatic dumb butts out!
But stupid show keeps showing them and showing them and showing them some more.
I can see why those 2 guys just went to bed instead of wanting to put up with the one twins stank attitude.
And come ON!!!
Do some of these people actually think they're going to make it with a stank attitude? Specially with America voting and seeing it all?
Like that one girl who was upset with her group (with the white guy and black girl). Just.. bleh.......

And then the girl that kept switching back and forth.

I will say though that the whole cowboy Brokeback Mnt joke was pretty funny. The Brokeback Mnt jokes are very played out now.. so sick of hearing them, but that was funny :P heh
And it was just so sad yet sweet when the lil cowboy guy got all choked up and hugged that other one :( Poor lil guy! I hope he gets himself some lessons b/c he does have potential.

I agree with everything you said.

I was crying when Garet (the cowboy) got out. I don't think he has the best voice (yet) and it was time for him to get out but still... I hope he comes back next year after he's gotten himself some vocal lessons.

None of my favorites were shown, and I was very disappointed with the lack of talent and overabundance of drama shown last night. I did, however, gain a new favorite; William Makar, who was brilliant. For those who don't remember him, he has curly-ish hair and was with David Radford, Joe-something or other, and that Clay Aiken-ish guy with the glasses. His group was the best of night.

I spotted Mecca during the group performance (she didn't talk or anything, I just saw her standing next to another girl). I don't know if she made it past that point (I don't think so), but for all the Mecca fans, at least she got through to that point.

The cowboys... oh, the coybows. The "Brokenote Mountain" trailer was hilarious, regardless of the controversial aspect (and I loved the movie, so don't go off on me, please). I do believe it was time for all three of the cowboys to go home, but man... that part at the end between Garrett and the other guy was just... inspiring, you know? You see all the girls explode in tears and everyone's all sad, but that was just... wow. I want to like download it online and watch it again.

I agree that the brothers have got to go. However, I have decided that Terrell (sp?) is the lesser of the two evils. He's the one with the leveler head that demanded Derrell (sp?) went back in and apologized. However, Derrell believed in the beginning that his brother had been cut, and it appeared as if he was resigning with his brother (that's what it looked to those of us who knew he wasn't cut). I don't think either of them is on par with the rest of the singers, though, and I expect they'll both be cut tonight.

I don't have any favorites of the girls, but the two boys I will be rooting for tonight are Kevin and Taylor. I don't remember either of their last names, but I just have taken a liking to them. For a reminder- Kevin is a short, blond (really short hair) man with glasses, and Taylor is the man with the grey hair. I'll try to find pictures to be more specific.
