I know December is long gone but, how come on Decemember 31, 2005 only some people got the winter sidebar from the Advent Calendar? I thought everyone was supposed to get the same prizes from the Advent Calendar. :\ ~ starfire1991 Actually, random prizes are ocassionally given out via the Advent Calendar. This is done just to spice things up a bit and give a few lucky people an extra prize we wouldn't be able to give out otherwise.
That being said, this was not the case here. Just like most of the other sidebars, there were certain requirements that had to be met in order to obtain the Winter Sidebar. If you met these requirements, you got it on the final day of the Advent Calendar. We can't tell you what those requirements were, of course, but it was certainly not a random giveaway. We'll give you a little hint however... the same requirements will need to be met next year, and the sidebar will again be given out on the final day of the Advent Calendar. You've got 10 months to figure it out!
I got the Winter Sidebar. I'm trying to remember everything I did:
* I own a Christmas painted pet, but I can't remember if he was my active pet at the time (more likely it was my lab pet).
** Said pet was actually painted in early December, if that matters.
* I had less than 2000 NP on hand, I think
* I collected all of the advent calendar prizes
If you guys can think of anything else I should consider, tell me and I'll try to recall what I did.
Hmmm. I don't think I had a Snow/Christmas petpet at the time (although I may have had an Abominable Snowball on one of my pets, but he was most likely zapped into something else). When I visited the advent calendar, it was around 7 or 8 am NST.
My Christmas-painted pet is a bori, which I believe is supposed to be a native Terror Mountain species. Once again, probably insignificant....
Ok, my mom got the sidebar. I don't believe she got the advent prize every day, she didn't have the let it snow! avatar, no snow/christmas pet/petpets.
And I'd have thought the "requirements" would have to be something we could change otherwise some people would never be able to get the sidebar either (Eg, it wouldn't be not owning the Let It Snow avatar because we can't change that). Someone suggested it might have something to do with whether or not you used the items received earlier in December in a certain way. Alternatively, perhaps previous years' advent prize petpets?
