I did; I sold some of the extra stuff initially before I realized I'd probably make more NP if I held onto it. I never sold anything that I didn't have extras of in my SDB, though.

I actually went out and bought some Advent items, but did not sell any,... sorta. I joined in the plushie petpet brush frenzy and went and bought one that day. I later sold it for about NP$10k more than what I bought it for. I still have the original in my SDB.

On the where did you store the items topic: I have most of them in my SDB and a few of the cooler furniture in my Neohome, if that helps any.

Oops, I forgot about the plushie petpet pb...I bought and sold a few of those. Didn't sell any other advent items, though.

Most people who did get it had all the items, but not in inventory. They were in sdb or neohome as were mine & many more others who didn't get it.

Perhaps someone who got it would be willing to tell what game or games they usually play? Perhaps a synopsis of their 'average day in Neopia'? Hmmm?

Found out I have a person in guild that got it right after midnight. He'd only been around a few times during December. As soon as he went to Advent, he received the event telling him had sidebar, ~then~ clicked to get the last day's prize. He doesn't remember doing anything besides random dailies... and he's a premium member...

I do know he also changed our guild layout to a Christmas theme. Put up a very intricate, very cute animation in the logo section. Did any of you who got it do any coding for winter or Christmas in shop, lookup, guild, anywhere?

hmmm... wouldn't it be tricky if it's something that has nothing at all to do with Christmas? Maybe something done months in advance? Did everyone who got it have an at least a year-old account?

Or maybe it goes to someone who hasn't been to the advent calendar at all in any other month than december? Like a don't try to peek at your presents before you are supposed to thing?

I know that's pretty weak, but anything seams possible at this point.

My account was only 9 months old.

Things I don't have or didn't do:

No winter themes anywhere in my account.
No pets or petpets that are in any way snowy, icy, or Christmasy. Had an annoying ice bori but zapped him/her a long time ago.
No visits to the Snowager during December.
No snowballs in my battle set. As a matter of fact, my active-in-case-Boochi-strikes pet doesn't have any weapons.
Everything in my Neohome and gardens was purchased before Neohomes existed. There was nothing seasonal available back then.
Can't remember the avatar. Usually I have one related to a game or aged petpet, but no Snowbunny.
No Terror Mountian games in December, although I do have a Snow Wars trophy/medal.
When my pets aren't in the Neolodge they eat omelettes.
I was using the yellow sidebar.
I didn't send any Christmas Neogreetings.
I peek at the Calendar from time to time during the year.

More random thoughts...There are three main parts to the sidebar: a couple of large snowflakes, Christmas lights and candy canes. There's also a blumaroo and a polarchuck playing in the snow. I don't have either.
I received candy canes and a string of lights as gifts. As far as I can recall, the lights stayed in my inventory until January but I don't remember if the candy cane was there or in my shop. There are no snowflakes anywhere but the SDB.

I'm fairly certain my guild member frequents the Advent Link as part of his usual dailies when it's not December.

I guess we're back to square one.

Perhaps I can enlist those of you who did receive it to go to the advent prize list just to scroll down & look at the items given again in case there's one in particular that you remember using or doing something with before it went to sdb or wherever...

Other than that, maybe a random event received during December (farfetched, I know, 'cause I don't remember any randoms I got either), a game played, something restocked, a pet pounded-adopted-created? (Yeah, like no one else pounded/adopted/created pets during December) Or, an elusive avatar obtained, trophy won, or special games entries (wc, rc, bc, cc, any spotlights???)

Only still trying to narrow down the possiblities, 'cause in 10 & 1/2 months, there's alot less likely chance anyone'll recall by then. Wish we'd have tried to find a common denominator 1st week of January, but Neo didn't let us know it was a 'requirement met' thing till yesterday. Prior to yesterday, I was certain was random luck.

Anyone have it before Dec 31st?

While I didn't gain them during December, I have a Writing Contest and Caption Contest trophy and I did not get the sidebar.

I have some stuff from y5 in my sdb. I guess I just like holding onto stuff. xD

11 petpet plushie pbs. Im waiting till the price rises again. That may take a while but It will be worth it. Like now the snow pppb is 15k. I wish I held onto more. I only have one now :/

If it were, I wouldn't know. I put down a random birthday for myself because I am paranoid of teh Interweb, and I've since forgotten what date I actually put down.

(Although if I had to guess, it was probably July 13th.)

I had the Solitaire trophy, I think, but nothing else significant.
