Does anyone know if anything actually ever happens in this?

I hit it twice in a year, got a couple hundred NP both times. On Symol Day, though, one of my younger siblings got the Avatar. I don't know the secret to it. It may be a combination of having a particular petpet, at a particular hour, using a particular method (e.g., eyes closed) for exploring the Symol Hole. Or it may be random with a very low probability. Either way, it's not very exciting. But I still do it once a day.

There's no secret to getting the avatar that's been found

basically, if you recieve NP from the hole, you have a chance of getting the avatar. I only ever went to the Symol Hole for the avatar - I have it now, so I don't worry anymore. It's so rare to get anything, so you're lucky you hit gold twice in a year

Yesterday I got 159np and avatar from the hole.

I got the av from a stained glass window.

Your petpet can gain levels there. Not that that gives you the avatar, but just so you know.

I won something once. A Squeezy Symol Toy. I sold it for 80K at the time.

I when recieved the avatar, I had gotten nothing from the hole (it was a 0 day).
