B/c I'm bored I'm gonna comment on them all heh

Paris- Yeah she had energy, but so what if the song sucked. She sang like 3 things and bounced the rest of the time.. whoopdido! There wasn't anything that impressed me about any of what she did.

Lisa- Obviously the girl can sing her butt off... but I absolutely hated the song she picked. It was just boring and just gave me the impression of trying too hard.

Ayla- I thought she was pretty dern good. Better than I expected her to be.

Becky- I have no idea why she is even there other than being pretty. I hated her performance.

Brenna- Having a strong personality is one thing.. but when it's a stanky totally unlikeable one.. that's not good. No matter how well she can sing (and it was just alright)... her personality is going to get her kicked.. hopefully very soon.. *crosses fingers*

Heather- Boring as all get out!!! Good lord her whole performance was just sad. There was like absolutely no high points.. it was all sorta monotone. All I could think of was that she should be one of the backup singers.. never a lead.

Katharine- The best tonight by far. Only thing though... I didn't really like the whole sexy act she was doing when she was singing. Yeah it's good to get into a song and all.. but I dunno... the way she was just trying to hard to look sexy just made me feel embarassed for her. There's something about her personality that is bugging me.. but as far as voices go.. she's great.

Kellie- Her voice irritated the crap out of me. It was sort of like a whine mixed with shrill, mixed with nasally..... Maybe it was the song.. but I'm guessing she always sounds like that. She seems like a really sweet girl and I'm sure that's going to get her far.. but hopefully not too far cause I dunno if I can handle listening to her.

Kinnik- Uhm... I don't remember her performance really. That's not a good thing... but yeah.... I don't remember it at all.

Mandisa- She can sing, but I wasn't impressed by her. Glad she picked a more upbeat song and took a chance with it instead of going for the slower picks. Other than that though.. meh... is about all I can say.

Stevie- Uhm.. hmm well...her performance was interesting, but it sounded like she was out of breathe alot. Think she might've been trying to hard or something.. maybe overthinking it. And her head-tilting thing she does when she's talking is really annoying and makes her look uber nervous.

Melissa- I like her voice and she was better than alot of the girls, but still.. not too impressed unfortuantly.


All in all... I wasn't too impressed at all. It was all rather boring. I'm tired of ballads.. I'm tired of these songs everyone has sang to death.. pick something new and upbeat dangit!!!

I saw only one performance (I was doing some homework at the time) and I did love Mandeesa (Sp?). She has the right flare for this competition and I hope she wins.

Mandisa, Katherine, Paris, and Lisa were really the only ones that stood out last night. The rest of them were boring and predictable.

Hopefully the boys will really bring it tonight.

I thought the guys did great tonight for the most part! They really surprised me.
I think they should let more guys in than girls... I don't like that alot of the great guy singers are going to be cut just so they can let in some crappy girl.

Wow, the guys were way better than I thought they'd be tonight.

A lot of my favorites changed.

I used to really dislike Ace just because his voice irked me and I figured he was just going to get through because of the teenage girl votes. Tonight he proved me wrong. Incredible song choice, and great vocals. The way they made him do his "look" afterwords was real funny. I have to say, he is now one of my favorites, along with Chris. Trailing not far behind is Elliot. And Taylor (yes, you heard me right folks, the guy with the grey hair who REALLY REALLY annoyed me previously) is now starting to grow on me. Maybe it was because he showed a bit more personality tonight. Also, he didn't do those weird twitches of his that got on my nerves.

My prediction for the finale is now Ace-Katherine (I'd be happy if either wins), with Chris in third.

What in the world was up with Jose and that falsetto? He's not a favorite, but he can do better than than standing on the stage screeching out a song. But the judges thought he was good. Am I losing my mind or are they losing theirs?

Taylor Hicks is still my personal pick for idol Still a voice that stands out.

It still bothers me though - if he DID win Idol, what in the world would the producers do with him? I can't see his CD doing well, because he is "soul" and not everyone likes that kind of music. For that reason, actually, I can't see him winning. He's not as versatile as the other contestants. Original, yes, but not versatile.

Alrighty... onto my take on each guy b/c yes.. I am bored once again! Muahaha heh


Ace- I thought he was going to be another pretty face with a sucky voice but he was actually really good. He picked a great song and I'm sure made alot of women melt. He really surprised me.

Bobby- Seems like such a fun guy but his singing was terrible. But I put some of the blame on the song. That's just not a good song to sing to show off your vocals. It's definetly a karaoke song that everyone joins in on just to have fun. I think he's going home.

Bucky- Was trying way too hard. Seems like such a sweet guy but the scratchy thing he was doing just made me want him to clear his throat.

Chris- Of course he's my fav! heh I hate Bon Jovi songs with a passion but dernit he sang the heck out of it!! GOD I love the way he sings!! He's awesome!

David- I actually really liked his performance. It wasn't the best, but I had a smile on my face watching him sing. It looked like he was having fun. He looks kinda weird when he sings but it was still fun watching him.
I'm not into the whole crooner(sp?) thing but I didn't think he was as bad as the judges thought.

Elliott- One of my new favs. He has such an awesome voice and I'm so glad he did great tonight and got some really great praises from the judges. I hope he goes to the end along with a few others.

Gedeon- Also really surprised me tonight. He was uber good. He didn't mess up once during his singing.. I mean you could take what he just sang and put it on a cd.. that's how perfect he was. Definetly one of the better singers. With that being said though.. he needs to bring down the ego some and not try to be so.... fake.

Jose- I didn't like his performance at all. I changed the channel apparently right when he hit the really high note.. and it did sound good during the recap.. but the rest of it just sounded a mess to me.

Kevin- Not the best but he also did really well. GOSH so many guys are doing great! Thought it was annoying though when the girls wanted to tweek his cheeks... that was just.. I dunno.. childish... well no that's not the right word.. it just turned me off big time.

Patrick- Forgettable but not bad.
I don't really wanna rag on someone b/c of their looks but someone needs to sit down with his mom and tell her she needs to stop with the plastic surgery and collagen in the lips. I don't care if people do that stuff... but don't go overboard with it cause it doesn't look good.

Taylor- Surprised me tonight. He was actually really entertaining to watch. He's not my fav but I'm not hating him. I can see why people like him so much.

Will- I thought he did really well tonight as well. He has a really great voice and knows how to use it. Not many people can sing the song he did and do it well but well.. he did.

All in all.. the guys did SO much better than the girls. They sang upbeat songs.. had a great time and just were awesome.

I quite liked Taylor Hick's preformance tonight. He does that jerky movement thing that makes it look like he's got some kind of disease, but it grows on you.

Ace was pretty good, he's like a second constantine, except he can sing better. Chris also did pretty well.

I quite liked Will's preformance too.

Hahaha, I noticed that too, and totally agree. It was just ewwww.

EDIT: OMG WHAT THE @#$%$? Just heard about the elimination show tonight, and can't believe Patrick is out! I thought he picked the wrong song, but had the potential to be at least in the final 5!

Hmm well if you dont' know yet don't read further cause I'm not typing small since the show aired already.



I didn't think he'd make it to final 12. He wasn't likeable to me.
Yeah he had a nice voice but he just wasn't the whole package (don't mean looks.. just mean personality + voice).

I am surprised Brenna is still there. Thought she definetly would've been one of the first girls gone.
BUT I'm not really surprised by who is gone. Becky had no business being in the top 24.... and Stevie just wasn't very good. All that training she says she has.. she doesn't know how to control her voice very well.

As for the guys.... I thought Bucky would be gone before Patrick but meh... whatever.

Bobby might have stayed if he hadn't picked the wrong song. But, he did it for his Grandma. He must love her a lot, because he sang that and probably KNEW he'd get out. He had his chance at fame and kept his promise instead.

Patrick left? WHAT? He was great! Why couldn't "Sway" or David have left? Better yet, KEVIN!

Hmm... so I'd say my favorites are:

Girls:
Kellie, Paris

The girls really aren't as good as the guys. Paris is just adorable though ^_^ and she has a GREAT voice. Kind of like Fantasia, but good. Kellie...I dunno, her audition was good but now she seems kind of weak. She seems like a fan favorite though, but her voice isn't as strong as I thought it would be. I don't really like the whole country thing either.

Guys:
Chris, Ace, Will, Taylor

I don't know, I kind of like them all but I don't know who my favorite is.

You know how in past seasons when someone REALLY stood out? If you've seen American Idol 1, Kelly was pretty much the only good one. (Tamyra was ok, Justin was ok, he has no career now though XD) I mean, you knew she would win from the start. I didn't think season 3 was that great, but season 2, Clay stood out for me, and season 4, Bo and Carrie. But this season, nobody really stands out too much for me. Maybe Idol is just getting old, but I don't know, they're good, but I can't imagine any of them being stars.

Alrighty.. well yesterday was the girls turn and once again.. very underwhelming.


Ayla- She's good but not star material. She seems like a nice enough girl but she comes off as very rehearsed and fake.

Brenna- Yeah.. her voice isn't terrible and she wasn't AS annoying as she usually is.. but I don't think she's one of the best by far.

Heather- I was hoping she was going to be one of the ones gone last week... still hoping for it this week. She did take a risk singing that song and she just didn't blow it up.

Katharine- Totally did NOT do good tonight IMO. She just seems so fake to me. She had a good performance last week but something still bothers me about her for some reason and I'm pretty sure it is that fake feeling I get from her.

Kellie- Ya know.. there were those rumors saying that she was really a witch and mean and diva and all that mess but I just can't believe it.
Unlike Katharine... Kellie does seem to be genuine. With that being said though.. I still can't stand her voice. It was less annoying this week, but it's too nasally/whiney for my taste.

Kinnik- Glad she took a risk, but it was still forgettable unforunatly and just really wasn't a good song.

Lisa- Judges nailed it on the head with the youngins. The songs they pick are just so BORING and old. Who cares if they can sing well if you are bored out of your mind watching them. I don't even think she sang the song very well.

Mandisa- I know alot of people like her but I think she WAY oversang that song. I do like that she's singing she normally wouldn't though.

Paris- She's just alright to me. And something about her personality irritates me. Played it safe and boring and old so we once again had to sit through it falling asleep wondering when someone was going to wow us.

Melissa- I thought she did the best last night. Well... maybe not the best.. just that I liked her voice better than the others. FINALLY a girl with that husky raspy singing voice who knows how to use it.

GOD I hope the guys do better tonight and I think they will. Hopefully they don't all copout like the girls did and pick all boring slow safe songs.
