The note itself seems taped upside-down, the pink portion is supposed to be tape, I think. But that still begs the question why it defies "gravity."

Err, at least that is what I hoped you meant? The note itself is unreadable, but the orientation of its position is striking to me.

Something tells me we are going to have to think in many dimensions (dual and mirror, etc.) to figure this mini- (yeah right) plot out. ;) We might even have to assume there is a Talador AND an Altador, and perhaps we can only see one part of this 'duality' at one time? o_O
