For anyone else, here's my template. It's fully transparent because it's a bmp so you can easily see the stars underneath the holes.

you are probably not clicking exactly on the star...that happened to me too before I got used to it.

Yes, it's supposed to be different. The new map should have mostly white stars; the old ones have lots of coloured stars. Have you been to your telescope after visiting the tomb and the Archives? You need the telescope to load before your new get_star_data will turn up.

Darkfire: if you're listening, would it be possible to code something into your star mapper that would give best-guesses for constellations? The two that have been released so far seem to follow formulas that might be incorpratable into the mapping. Just a suggestion.
I'm positive I found my dreamer constellation, but it won't work (and I went through the steps on the 1st page). Here's my star map, I've already highlighted the 2 different ones I've tried that didn't work.
