Favorite TV Station/Network

#1 Post by Hil »

What is your favorite TV network?

I don't know what I'd consider my favorite, but I probably watch the most shows (4) on Fox so I guess it's my favorite.

Since you asked for favorite station, I assume that meant your favorite basic tv channel since networks are not channel dependent.

Fave station (implying basic tv since cable is all networks and not stations) would have to be KCOP CBS 12 in SLO, CA. They are the better basic channel we get. KCAL 9 is another favorite. It is the best source for live car chases outside of CNNHI.

Fave Network (not asked for) would be CBS, NBC, [AS], Sci-Fi, MSNBC, or History Channel. All are have my favorite shows.

I would have to say Channel 4 be cause it gets all of the best shows, but Five is rapidly catching up.

I would never consider BBC1, BBC2 or ITV to be my favorites because it's mainly old folk that watch them, except for when Corrie and Eastenders are on.

Five is horrible for commercials., and even though a show (say House) takes up an entire hour, but the actual run time is only 40-45 minutes. It's really annoying.

Mhmm, I'd say Channel 4 is the best, but sometimes, BBC2 has good comedies on, and they show Family Guy. *squee*

But, Channel 4 has Simpsons, Deal or no deal (:P), Friends, Desperate Housewies, ER... (it goes on)

TV--oh, wait. Basic channels.

FOX Carolina (21 - WHNS) is probably my favourite. One word: HOUSE.

YTV for all my anime needs.

As for networks, we have starchoice, so I get a lot of network channels. I usually watch the manitoba ones though (CTV=CKY, Global=CKND, CBC=CBWT).
I watch shows like Amazing Race, House, and Survivor on the Canadian channels, rather than US ones.

As far as local stations, for news I watch WNYT (Channel 13 - NBC), and the most shows I watch for entertainment are on WXXA (Channel 8 - FOX). As far as network stations, I like to watch CNN and SpikeTV, sometimes TNT, USA, TBS. Starting very soon, I'll probably be watching a lot of ESPN also...Yay baseball season!

Five's not the only one who does that. I still think that E4 is great, yet they've started to go all American. As soon as the titles of ER had finished, it went straight to a break. And this was 5 minutes into a 1 hour show.

But look on the bright side, at least there's no Crazy Frog anymore.
So many dings...
