did anyone like the movie harry potter and the goblet of fire becouse i for on dident like it i had no problems with the other movies o_O

You should probably put what the topic is about in your title. Since it's about HPG, you'll get tons of responses that way.

I just saw it tonight. I thought the beginning was kind of sparse and hard to follow, and they didn't use enough details about the conspiracy from the book. It felt really rushed. Other than that, it was a good movie. Too much of it was computer-generated, though.

Aside from the whole "inform Azkaban they have a prisoner missing" plothole, it was really good. (Of course, I'm probably the only person on these forums who thought the "HE WAS THEIR FRIEND" monologue in PoA was well-acted, so what do I know?)

Okay, the music did its job and nothing more. Boo.

On the other hand, the new costume director managed to twist that god-awful costume for Pettigrew into something tolerable yet recognizable, and brought back the robes!

On the other hand, the entire plot of the fifth book is going to come out of, like, nowhere, considering that they established neither Bellatrix nor the conflicts with the Ministry. (Not to mention, oh, say, Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs. This is why Steve Kloves will always be on my blacklist.)

On the other hand, the sixth book definitely won't come out of nowhere, and the visuals were really, really cool.

So, yeah, the best Potter movie yet, but that doesn't say much.

It would have been better if they hadn't butchered the first 30 minutes of the movie in the editing room like that. That was some of the worst pacing I've ever seen. And what happened to the quidditch match?!

I would have to say that this latest Harry Potter movie was my least favorite by far. The computer generated effects were too noticeable and the plot just didn't keep my attention like the other movies have. I'm hoping that the next movie will be better than this last one.

I really enjoyed it, though of course me and my friend Becky spent most of the film perving on the various hot teenage manflesh the film had to offer.

The pace is too quick and many parts are skipped. They should have made it into 2 parts or something...

That's inevitable. And no, they can't really make it two parts. People who aren't already a fan of the books will not put up with that.

It was a good movie I guess, but what really bugged me was that it was not at all close to the book. I understand that they can't fit everything into the movie, but it felt to empty without any of the good parts...and it all felt rushed.

I didn't like it.

I'm a huge fan of the books and I would have much prefered that there were two parts and not one rushed and choppy film...

Yes, but if you weren't already a huge fan... you wouldn't want it in two parts.

I have different feelings.
One, it's a good thing it was a British director (no offense). I mean, in the first movie, they tried to follow the book. In the second, it was a bit too mixed with extra effects, but that was okay, because they still did an original movie. But the THIRD, oh my goodness, it was so artificial! The director changed the Leaky Cauldron and so many things else. However, it did try and keep the main points. The fourth movie, whilst many parts were cut out (ugh! They cut out the QUIDDITCH CUP ITSELF!), the director followed the story, and I must say the graveyard scene was AWESOME...
Two, I find the pace quite okay for this fourth one. Thank goodness. I hope the OotP will be MUCH better, closely following the book, less artifical effects, and let's also hope the cast stays through all 7 movies. (:

Compared to the last three movies - I thought this movie was amazing.
I mean, it actually looked like Hogwarts this time, compared to the third movie, which I thought was dreadful. At least they stuck to the plot and only left a few of the less minor parts out.

I've only just realised one of the wizards in the first film, in The Leaky Cauldron, stirring his tea with a magical spoon by twirling his finger, is in fact Ian Brown doing a cameo.

I am so slow, sometimes.
