The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

At least we have the Wildcard right? Can she come back from that?
They haven't done the wildcard this year or last year. In seasons two and three, people voted their top 10 and wildcards determined the other two. Since there was already a top 12, there's no wildcard

Anyway, as for the theme, Queen, I can SO imagine Ace doing "Bohemian Rhapsody."
I don't think I can take both him AND Constantine singing it. *throws up*

I didn't think it was obvious at all. I was actually saying to the TV that the Bottom Three was obviously Ace, Bucky, and Katherine. I would never have guessed the Bottom Three- I actually thought they were the top 3!
o come on, you could tell bucky and kellie were def. safe just b/c of them being country.
Paris and Mandisa were both absolutely horrible and should have both gone home. Neither of them actually sounded country and Paris actually butchered a nice song. Mandisa was not horrible, but again didn't sound country and picked a crap song on top of that.
i'm rooting for katherine...partially b/c she looks just like my friend

Some people just can't SING country. And that's okay. Mandisa had an absolutely wonderful voice, and I thought she did the best she could with the country song.

Yes, I know. I think that Mandisa already showed us that she could sing and she just had fun with the song.

That's just stupid.
Can you honestly expect Kelly Clarkson to rap to a 50 Cent song? Or for Billie Joe Armstrong to sing an R&B song? No.
Sure, you have to diversify but you can't expect Mandisa to sound exactly like a country artist when her primary genre is hip-hop and R&B. That's just dumb to think it's possible.

One bad song and you deserve to be out in a group of about two or three bad singers that should already be out by now but haven't due to a clueless fanbase that refuses to see that their "American Idol" is absolutely mediocre if not terrible at best?

Kuge, people may seem bad in your opinion, but to someone else they're great. It all depends on your personal tastes.

It's pointless lecturing on constant implications, since everyone knows that already...
At this point, it's very safe to say that Ace isn't still in the competition because so many people think he's "great". A larger fanbase by no mean equals a better [insert target of fanbase here]. Luckily, as the show goes on, the "okay" are shoved off. Not once have I seen someone make the final four that I didn't think deserved to be there.

I don't think the singers actually have to sound country when they assign them a country song. Aren't they constantly telling them that they need to make the song their "own"? I honestly wish Bucky and that one that resembles Adam Sandler would be voted off. I really don't see them becoming the next American Idol ... but since Mandisa was voted off ... I have no idea anymore what America is doing.
But I want Chris to win because he's amazing almost every week.

Eh, WIS called it. I got bored after Season Two and stopped watching temporarily, so I never saw that Season, in fact, never heard of Jasmine at all so I'm guessing she wasn't that big of a deal (as the morning show on the radio station that I listen to updates the night after ever episode). Maybe I just forgot.
I did watch the last half or so of the 4th season and Anthony was bad compared to who was left, but then again, it could have been worse *cough*Scott*cough* Wasn't really satisfied with the final 4 for that season. I did take a liking to Bo Bice, but I never cared for Carrie (still don't).

Did Carrey have an accent? I bet if a british guy showed up and sang decently, he would win.

[EDIT] Apparently, Mandisa was supporting an anti-gay thing or whatever.

I'm scared. I'm voting for Paris and I'm getting through each time. :S

Maybe it's only me, but I actually thought the night went very well, considering for the most part, it should have been a disaster. Even Bucky and Ace sounded fine to me (I do agree that Ace didn't rock it enough, but really, he stopped the falsetto junk and actually tried something else, and that is
awesome in any definition of the term).
For that reason, I do think the bottom three is going to be very difficult to call.
I'm going to predict: Bucky, Paris, Elliot
Though I'd rather not see it that way.
WIS - I don't think that ended up doing her in. It was a bad night for her and the votes seemed to have concentrated on the bottom three of last week rather than who would do great later on.
