Bleh to the sponge Lupe. But then, all the sponge pets (save for Acara) look horrid, IMO.

I'm also digging the desert Hissi. I don't think striped looks bad, either.

I'm digging the bolder colors on the striped hissi.

While I've generally liked sponge as a color, the sponge lupe is way off in terms of drawing. I mean, look at this:

The tail. The legs. A sponge is supposed to be flat, and in the process of trying to illustrate that flatness, they've created some segmented impossible flat/contoured hybrid that defies every rule of perspective ever.

Bad TNT. Bad. The art major in me wants to smack you.

The sponge lupe looks like one of those optical illusions that shows like an elephant or something but you can't figure out where one leg stops and the other begins.

I like lupes and I agree the spounge seems wrong.... I think it has something to do with the shading on him... meaning how they are showing the side's of the spungeiness like they show to much of it or something.... is odd.

I find this to be a perfect choice design for the Hissi. It reminds me of Tutankamon's golden mask, even though it's a bird and not a snake. It even has an Egyptian style cobra look to it.

I love the new Hissi. I got a Mutant Hissi thanks to the lab ray, but I would definetly invest in a paintbrush to paint it Desert! I love that look for it. So, regal.

Teehee, I like that Hissi more and more. Another PB to save up for (but I am going for the Darigan theme...hmm)
