I tried to view it seperately and recieved an error (non-existant graphic) error.
It's been broken for a while now.
Edit: On second thought, for something this major, the TNT probably know about it. Perhaps it is on purpose? It may have something to do with the history missing?
This may be out there a little bit, and I don't know if this has already been touched on in other posts, but there is a statue in the ruins of Maraqua that has a charm around her neck just like Jerdana's Orb.
If you go to Jerdana's Orb (TCG) it says that "Fyora used this artifact to imprison the Darkest Faerie for a thousand years."
According to the PS2 game the staute is the Darkest faerie.
Hope this helps, and I am sorry if it has already been covered by someone else.
Ohh. It's been a whiel since we've heard this.
Yes we've talked about the Darkest Faerie statue more than enough times.
Tis the proverbial beating a beaten horse.
There's nothing to make of it. It's done with and will almost certainly have no impact on the plot.
In fact, as a guideline, it's probably the truth that only things in ALTADOR will lead us to stuff ABOUT Altador.
I tried to view it seperately and recieved an error (non-existant graphic) error.
It's gone for me too. It should be here when it comes back.
Maybe a server glitch. But maybe it's plot-related.
I think the image breaking of the picture on chapter 8 is part of the plot!!! The url of the image has changed! The picture is still here but the url in the book changed! Here let me prove it:

That's the orginal picture and its still on the server. The thing that's changed is that in the image name, the new one say "sub_02" instead of the original "sub_01" I think it's going to be part of the plot in which altador gradually loses its history again? I had my suspicions about this so I decided to check the jellyneo.net book of ages and there the image was!

I don't think the missing pic has anything to do with it, because if you right click on it and select view image the right pic pops up.
Just my two cents.

The news page looked fine to me last week, and the picture... see above, and it's been like that for quite the while now.
I think
a) TNT is too professional to mess up like this
b) we should just wait for the updates
Now I slither through the hairline cracks
in sanity
Upon more probing, I think TNT may have simply named the image wrong because the sub on the other chapters seem to correspond to to the order in which the pictures appear. For chapters with images on the 2nd half the two sub images have a different sub number... chapter 8 is the only one that has two sub_01 images that work... TNT may have fixed the code but forgot to rename the image.
*adds*
Hmm... losing old new.. it's kinda like losing old history... reminiscent of altador plot?

Not that I am saying this is where a plot point will be but I have also noticed that twice before a glitch showed up in Altador a few days before the clue was released where the glitch was.
You know how the archivist says "that's assuming she even remembers what happened -- she might have made sure that the spell affected her own memory, so that she could honestly deny any knowledge of what she did. At least, until the spell was broken, and then..."?
I have a strong feeling that we will be required to go through a series of complicated steps posssibly involving collecting a series of books/scrolls to obtain the spell and break it before we can find Jerdana, who will turn out to only be a victim. One of the TCG's do say that she lost her memory, while her element is still light after all.
.... Would anyone be interested in helping me out? I.E. Doing it for me?!?! I can't get the timing right and this is my 13th time, it's killing me! Please?!?!?!
