I use Google a great deal (though I voted 5-14 times), and it's the only search engine I use- if I can't find what I want on Google, I stop searching.

I use Google non-stop. Usually I'm looking up things for school or out of boredom.

If you're looking up things for school don't use Google, use the ultimate cheating tool: the Wikipedia :D

Technically I use Linspire.com/google, but it still counts, doesn't it? XD

I think I use Altavista more than Google, but since I have it on the top bar of Mozilla, I'm using it more and more...but, I've never actually counted. o_o;;

I use it a couple times a day. I use it if I have no idea what something is - like a band or type of food. I used to use dictionary.com for my definitions but now I mostly search for my word on google using "define: word" in the search box. ^ ^'

When MSN rolls out their version of Adsense, which will be soon, Google will become a thing of the past. 99% of their revenue comes from paid search. This company is going nowhere fast.

I'm pretty sure MSN has all the money it needs - Google is practical, clutter free, very wellknown and loads extrememly fast :) That is why I use it anyway...

good points, but they made 1 big mistake. Putting all of their 85 billion dollars into 1 basket - search.

It's called diversification, they should try it.

And that's why they're the best.

I'd like to disagree with you there - not only is "search" a huge basket with many compartments, but way loads of other things have been implemented.

Try Google Mail, Froogle, Google Book Search, Google Earth, Personalised Home Page and probably some other things I haven't yet discovered ;)

All of these things are free and bring in no revenue. It is a fact that 99.9% of their income comes from paid search.

Now MSN and Yahoo are teaming up to bring them down, it won't be long and with nothing to dip into the trough, it's a shallow grave.

There might be a dark horse in Ask, I see commercials and they have some interesting new features. It's also very non cluttery like the google look.

I don't see much future in google, a lot of the new "products" if you want to call them that are crappy, the google video etc....

Of course it is free, what do you expect...

And God forbid if you are a paid advertiser and actually have a problem and need to call or talk with them. They are bad at answering their emails and do not have a phone number to call. I have advertised in all big 3 search engines and MSN AND Yahoo had phone numbers plastered to help you. Google....nuthin'

Ah, but you forget one thing. Even if most of their revenue comes from paid search, all the products they're coming out with are supposed to do one thing: Shift the dependency on certain programs from those integrated into an OS to those hosted on the web, so they're more easily accessible.
