Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

After reading through this thread I think I've changed my opinion. I used to think the egg came first. Now I think it makes more sense to say the chicken came from the pre-chicken's egg. That egg belongs to whichever creature laid it and should be named so. However, the creature that came out of it was different and should be named so. After it came into being, the chicken laid chicken eggs, but anything before was a chicken coming out of a pre-chicken egg.
If you want to figure out which came first, chicken-like creatures or the eggs they presumably came from/make and not specifically the present day chicken, then I think I'd have to go with the egg.

Sorry, but I'm the head of God's PR, and he doesn't want to be involved.

Clucky, you don't set the rules for a discussion. No-one said that evolution shouldn't be brought into it. Evolution should definately be brought into it, mainly because the article is
based on evolution.
Because it would be take too long for me to write a huge post about this explaining my point-of-view, I've just made this handy image to help.

So I should go make a second topic for "Chicken vs. Egg assuming God not Evolution?" <_< The point of the chicken vs. egg debate is not to debate the origins of life; the point is too look at an infinite chain of
chicken lays egg. Egg hatches into chicken. Chicken lays egg. Egg hatches into chicken...
and figgure out which one came first. Its equivilant to asking weather ot not
1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1... is equal to 1 or 0.
Bringing evolution, creationism, or anything else into the picture turns it into an actual debate that has no bussiness being in Misc. Discussion.

I was going to say something witty, but...Dude, WHAT?????
People were trying to discuss it and you just seem to WANT a debate. Leave off..

For the last damn time, this article is about SCIENCE. Evolution is SCIENTIFIC. Believe whatever the hell you want, but don't have a fit when people use scientific theories to discuss science.

ENOUGH.
Honestly.
You all should know better then to be debating science and religion in Misc discussion. This is why we have a debate board. If you want to debate this article, take it there, not here. Got that?
If you'd like this thread locked, please continue. But I suggest you take this debate elsewhere. Anyone who continues this debate after this post will face ugly consequences.

I thought we agreed NOT to bring evolution into this debate. <_<
I never made such promises. We're talking about science so we're using the prevailing scientific thinking: evolution. I'm not debating evolution. I'm mearly using it as a lense because that's what orthodox biological thinking uses. Since we're discussing biology, it would be appropriate.

...And here I thought that Inrun's warning would be enough to end the debate going on here.
