When you go to the main page for the altadorian cup, look at the image of the world in the centre, that sure aint the side of neopia I know and love...

I'm guessing this thing will be similar to the supporter role in the Maraqua war; the matches will last a whole day, scoring will be done by the combined total of all the team's players score in a new game based on the sport, and the team with the highest combined score at the end of the day wins the match.

I'm not sure which side to join, my Neohome is in Darigan, but that's only because I made there the day they added it just to see what the lanscape looked like. I won't go with the Lost Desert or Terror Mountian teams as I already have trophies from there, but although I have the Maraqua war one I might go with Krawk Island as I like pirates. Or I might just go with the underdogs, which will most likely be Kiko Lake or Roo Island.

I don't know, I don't think it'll only last a day or so if it really is the big event in june that they have promised us.

He's not saying it'll only last a day. He's saying that it'll be lots of one day competitions stuck together - say about fifteen or twenty. That would make it a slightly bigger event, but would not cause suffering if a person couldn't access Neopets for one day and missed out on the major event.

I just hope it starts soon - it looks a lot better than the Altador plot at the moment - especially seeing as nothing actually appeared to happen in the plot, when you think about it.

I was thinking that we'd be playing a game and our scores would be combined with the scores of everybody on our team and then at the end of the event the team with the most point wins.

Looks like this sorta proves it. I hope it's more than that though...

well this sure is funny. My computer time is pretty much my only time that doesn't involve soccer. Both my girls play year round on two teams each. We have soccer 7 days a week. School isn't even out yet and we have been to tournaments in 4 states and two countries. My oldest has been invited to play in Europe this summer and school tryouts will be starting soon.

Someone said that the world cup is important to about 12 Americans. I think it all depends on what part of the states you live in. Soccer is by far the biggest sport in this area. My tv rarely gets used for anything except the soccer channel this time of year.

Technically Qasala is just an area in the Lost Desert, like Sahkmet, so it is represented. And nobody seems to live in Geraptiku!
