I think it may be a tournament type thing. IE Eight pairs of randomly selected teams for the first round, and teams have blank amount of time to earn points. The next round would be four pairs, etc. until only one team remains. I think thats why they have exactly sixteen teams as some of the teams like Kiko Lake and Roo Island are miniworlds.
EDIT: Prizes would be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, and maybe the best scorer(s) on each team would get a nice little bonus.

I just had a thought...do you think that we'll be able to sign up today when the news goes up? Because it'll say June 2. Or do you think we'll have to wait until Midnight NST?
Personally, I think it'll be something like the Ski Lodge Murder Mystery where you had to pick the murderer, and the earlier you picked correctly, the better your prize. Except with the Altador Cup, we'd be choosing the winning team.
Kreludor only has the banner Pixa made. I'd make one, but it'd be in Paint, so it would suck ^.^;.
I love moons and crescent moons so I might go with Kreludor, in case they decide to make a sheilds on our lookups. I'd much rather prefer it to look like earth's moon (white instead of orange), but then again it wouldn't be realistic to neopia.
I'm stuck between Kreludor and Faerieland.
