The numbers in red should be the same. That's why it's not working out.
They probably should be 184, in which case, it's 6.

Yes adding is still adding even with negative numbers, they simply take away as they are added. A calculator is a useful invention. Notice that if you add all negative numbers you will still have a negative one at the end, but since there are no negative rooms, one can safely disregard that.

I am almost about to ask the mods to start a separate thread for those that found the spell book and prefer to brainstorm on that rather than read posts about how people are bad at math (ahem, calculator, again) and others that used the wrong coordinates, or any number of other preliminary errors. Read, then use brain, then think again, then post/ask.

For the sake of keeping the threads clean and people posting redundently and others having to read them all, it would be great if anyone needing help could re-check (!) they have the Sleeper coordinates correct (!) and that they at least used a calculator first before asking for help so quickly.

And sorry for the mini-rant, I know you all are exhuberantly helping one another. I am just tired and don't wish to wake up to 3,000 posts of this.

Grrr. I finally got the gears jammed correctly, but I'm having problems getting my constellation to light up. Is there a special trick to this one like there was with the Protector (I think it was) with not clicking each star?

So, I have my Sleeper coordinates:

The result I get is 3, 15. What I don't get is what to do with this information...help?
