Actually, I hold a life-long record of never having been assigned a book I haven't already read, lol. Ones that were assigned that I already like were

How Green Was My Valley
Angela's Ashes
The Good Earth
Of Mice and Men
Catfish and Mandala
Wuthering Heights

I really like My Antonia.. had to read that for English last year. I think it's a beautiful story. I also like... The Lord Of The Flies. Don't ask me why.

There was this other book I can't remember what it is called but it was about most of the people on the planet dying and there being this lad and a girl left.
That was pretty good

Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH
Tuck Everlasting
Stone Cold

We read the first two in year seven, the third earlier this year.

Holes...eh. When I first read it, in year 6, I loved it. Everybody in my class loved it. But then I had to do a group project on it in year 8 and it made me hate it so much >.< We had to delve into it so much and it dragged on for ages.

I just finished reading One of Those Horrible Books Where the Mother Dies. I thought I was going to hate it... but I actually enjoyed myself... I guess maybe I am a chick lit fan. :P
