You DEFINITELY need to come to Houston, Texas. Not only do we have a baseball team that made it to the world series, but we also have the lowest cost of living in the entire US (so you wont spend all of your money). Also, we have the Johnson Space Center (which is only 10 minutes from my house, and has Mission Control, among other things), and the corresponding Space Center Houston, where you can see moon rocks and go in shuttle simulators. Maybe you'll even get a picture signed by a real astronaut, if they happen to be there.

However, the best thing about Houston has to be the food. There's a restaurant for pretty much every ethnicity in existence, and we have great barbeque places. The Mexican food is especially fantastic.

Well, that's my sales pitch. Come to Houston, because it isn't lame like New York. Can't stand that place XP.

Coming to the State, eh?

Places to go (mostly in California):
LA
Long Beach
San Francisco
San Diego
Seattle
DC
NYC
And all points inbetween.

Basically, hit all of the major cities and as many of the minor ones. That will guarantee the most exposure to all of us crazy Americans.... and if there is any pity in your heart, you'll take a few of us home with you :P

PS: Stay away from Sacramento and Fresno. Trust me. They are too crazy. :P

You really should visit Chicago. You can find the tallest building in the United States (the Sears Tower), great food (Italian beef sandwiches cannot be beat!), great people, a beautiful lakefront, Navy Pier, so much culture, great architecture, and so much more. Not only that, if you fly into Midway Airport, there's a good chance that you'll fly right over my house. So, yeah, visit Chicago! :D

(I get so excited about this city.)

Well, America is a big country, do you have any idea where you're going at all?

I agree with Rune, visit the crappy part of California! And um...maybe the good parts of California too. (I'm leaving on July 6 though...so I probably won't see you lol)

Sacramento is not too crazy, Sky XD. It's not the best part of California, that's for sure, but crazy? Nah.

California:
-San Francisco
-Certain parts of LA (Beverley Hills for example...most of LA sucks though)
-Santa Monica
-Pismo Beach
-San Diego
-Redwoods (Muir Woods, Yosemite - Again, you have to have reservations)

Other places:
-Seattle, Washington
-HAWAIIAN ISLANDS! I went to Kauai, that's the prettiest place in the world! It's expensive, but wow... you'll love it.
-The Grand Canyon - Arizona
-Yellowstone National Park - Montana/Wyoming (You have to make reservations)
-New York City (I wish I could go there)
-Washington DC (Maryland)

Yeah, I've been around the states, but not many places in the east/mid-west.

GAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Everyone always forgets Houston! It's so annoying! I really wish we were known for something other than disasters like Andrea Yates, Hurricane Rita and Terms of Endearment. Seriously, we're the fourth largest city in the nation. There must be SOME reason people live here.

Another thing I don't get is why everyone loves San Francisco so much. Wow, you have a bridge going over a bay. Whoop-de-freaking-doo. We have a ton of those. We also have really cheap gas :)

My part is suckier. Believe me. :P

But you should come to my sucky part of California, too! There's not much around, but I'd think of something. Even if it's just wandering around Reno (Nevada) with the friend I'll be spending a couple of weeks with around then.

Pismo! That is a fifteem minute drive from where I live! If you come to Pismo, you have to come to San Luis Obispo and visit Poly.

Also, another to my list:
Huntington Beach. Surf City USA. Head there after Long Beach and on your way to San Diego (all on the same freeway too!). That is another thing. You have to travel PCH (at least the California portion). That will take you through SD, LBC, LA, Pismo, SLO, Hearst Castle, Big Sur, Monterey, SF, etc. Trust me. That drive is worth it.

Awesome. :o I go there like 2-3 times a year since my cousins and grandma live there.

Santa Barbara is also good!
