I don't believe this! I went onto Neopets this morning to find that I had no Neopoints on me. I went to see if the NP in my bank account was still in tact. Gone. 30,000NP. Not much, really, which was good. The worst part? The over 100,000NP's worth of items in my gallery are gone too...

Is this a glitch? Was I hacked? Scammed? I don't know. Where do I begin to understand this?

Anyway, I changed my password just incase.

email neopets right away, see if they can track where your NP and items have gone if it was because someone else had gotten into your account. Does anyone else use the computer you use to play neopets? or do you use a public one say at work/school? did you have PINS on your bank and such?

that sucks dude, hope its just a glitch and you get it all back!

Thanks, I'll email them right away. My brother, mom and dad uses the computer. My mom and dad don't play at all and it wouldn't be them...and my brother, well he might get on my nerves, but he'd never do anything like this. Plus, he hates Neo anyway and would do all he can to stay AWAY from it! No one else uses it and no, I've not been on a public computer for over a year now. Stupidly, I didn't have pins. To me, they were more trouble than they were worth, but now I wished I HAD kept my pins. *sigh*

And I hope it's a glitch too and I'll ask Neopets if they can look further into this and establish whether I was the victim of a glitch. *prays that she gets it all back*

No idea at all! It's all like a bad dream to me because I've been feeling a bit depressed these past few days. It's like it was all planned out for me, to make me feel worse. AH, this sucks! And yeah, I know it's not true, but it's just how it makes me feel. It's bizarre. It really is.

I'm really sorry that happened to you. From what I've read, TNT likes to blame the victim when they get hacked -- "you shouldn't have given your password away." Did you spend a lot of time recently in user shops/looking at lookups? Did you spontaneously seem to get logged out and have to relog in? You could have been redirected to a false log-in page or been cookie-grabbed. If you can remember anything weird and when it happened, maybe you can go back in your computer's history and find the site/user that led you astray. If you give this info to TNT, maybe they'll be more sympathetic.
You did the right thing changing your password right away. Double-check and make sure the crook didn't change your e-mail address; otherwise, he/she can just get your password sent to him again. I tried setting up PINs when they first came out, but they said I couldn't because I'm not premium -- but I just tried again and found that I could. So I went ahead and did it. You might want to go ahead and set one now just in case the hacker comes back.
I just looked to see what kind of gallery you have (to see if I had anything to help replace what you've lost). It looks like they left you a little there as well as the petpet brush in your shop (as well as your pets), so at least you won't have to completely start over. If you don't have the soup faerie avatar yet, I guess they made it easier for you to get it -- just trying to find a small silver lining.

Yowch! That happened to a friend of mine when she'd moved in with me for a few months. Unfortunately we actually fell out over it because she thought it was me!

At least they've left you with -something- though, they could have robbed you blind and pounded your pets!

Thanks guys, I really don't know what to say. They left me with nothing though - the items I have now are items that a very kind person gave me when she found out I was hacked. I'm so glad they didn't take my pets though. I would not be able to cope otherwise. And thanks for any presents you give me. I would object but I know it's pointless I just feel like I don't really deserve them...but I guess I'm being silly. so thank you, guys

And, I just discovered that the email HAD been changed, so I quickly changed it back to mine. She took everything. She's not going to get away with this. I'll email TNT right now so that hopefully she can get frozen soon. I would put the email address here but I'm not sure if it's allowed. I wouldn't want to start a war or anything.

EDIT: OH...GOSH...honestly, you guys...are the most generous most lovely people in the world! Thank you SO much! *hugs you all* I just found the wonderful items in my inventory. Thank you!

A similar thing happened to me not long ago, except my pet was pounded too. If you need any help & advice, I'd say you've come to the right people. If theres anything I can do to help, let me know
