I think they should make Neopets a bit more boy-friendly too; I hate to say it, but ever since that company took Neopets over, it's been 'fluffy this', 'baby that', 'faerie here', et cetera. I think It's about time we got a few more sinister looking Neopets, Worlds, and Items.

and by "boy-friendly" you probably mean more geared towards the older or more stereotypically rebellious demographic. the cuteness of the pets suits the huge demographic of players who are into that stuff. the company does it to make more money, which is smart on their part. and there are sinister looking pets. the darigan and mutant pets look amazing.

i believe we had a discussion about "genies" as male faeries. and what we're got as a sort of male genie type thing is the new auction genie.

Sure, the creatures look cute. I'm alright with that, but there greatly outnumber the sinister pets; forget about painting them, I was reffering to 'default' pets.

Woooooo! I saw him today (the genie) and the FIRST thing I thought was that I needed to come over here and post in this thread. :)

Quite nice; precisely what I was hoping for.

I've been thinking for a long time that male faeires should be in existence in Neopia. Might be a good editorial for the Neopian Times (sorry if that's wrong. I'm on my sleep aid right now and sometimes my vocabulary goes before the rest of my mind). Perhaps someone should do a doodle of the ideal male faerie. (Not hinting me...I'm NOT an artist). I'm agreeing with the Legolas/Any LOTR elf style...that'd be uber.

It would be groovy to have some male faeries on the site! I am thinking how cool it would be if they had one in the style of Jareth the goblin king from the movie Labyrinth! <3 It would be more fun, especially if he had the same attitude, say showing up and offering you an item, in exchange for something, like a level off your pet or what not. Sure its "out there" but it would still be nifty. :D

Male faeries? Why not? But imo, it would still just be a form. I have always thought of faeries as spirits, avatars, something in that order. So yes, they do 'appear out of nowhere'.
So we could have 'male' Earth faeries representing the more aggressive aspects of Earth - avalanches, earthquakes, impenetrable stone, ... while the female Earth Faeries represent growth, nourishment, and the slow and steady change of the seasons.
Similarly, for Air faeries, there could be males representing cyclones and thunderstorms, while the females represent calm breezes and clouds...
And then the occasional 'generic' faerie (Battle Faerie, Tooth Faerie, ...) and the occasional wild femme and calm homme. Mmm?

Maybe there already are male faeries but they're all cross dressers.

Well, I think they're trying to be super g-rated. They don't want anybody interpreting a romance between male faeries and female faeries, so they have no males. (But it's okay to put the females in sexy outfits. :P )

Oh, most definetely! =D
I remember there being a thread on this a year ago, and yesh, there should be some male faerie love. Hey, just because you have wings and magical powers doesn't mean you can't be AWESOME.

Weren't 2 characters married in one of the plots? o_O

What reason do these 9 other people have to not want male faeries?
