If YOU could run Neopets for a day what would you do?

oh i thought you said we could do ANYTHING to neopets. scrap my last post. this is what i would do:
flip the interest factor, so people on the bottom level get 12% and people on the highest level get 4.5%, plus ALL people would be given their yearly interest, plus their daily interest for that day.

i would keep the wheel of excitement change, and i would freeze users who i think are "smart alecs who are above the T&C" and people who have been frozen unfairly would be unfrozen immediately. I would make the stockmarket increase, but only 30np a share for ALL companies!
also i would give every user premium, just for the day!
also there is no limit to the amount of times you can send your score for flash games also for each game you get 5x the amount of np!

I think I'd update all the really old artwork- but that would probably take up the entire day! I'd also release all the pet colours that have been kicking around for ages, and put a spelling filter on the Neoboards (take that, text speak!). And I'd open Lutari Island for everyone

I would make ALL items useful. No more junk items that do nothing. I would want to actually be able to put clothes on pets (if it's not the right size then *RIP*) and make it so stats would effect the pet's physical appearance! Older pets...look older and have longer hair. New pets are smaller and big eyed. Strong pets are bigger, smart pets have smoother features, and high genius pets start looking anamorphic.

A pet's look would also depend on your care. If they'e groomed, they look shiny, if they're not they look scrungy. Unfed pets would look thinner while pampered babies will look jolly and round. The program that would be needed to implement such would also denerate various random poses for each pet type.

Ok, and I would unfreeze everyone because I believe in a second chance.

I would close the Altador plot since it's been open forever. I guess everyone finished it already.
Also, I'd make it so that you get Commander Garoo just by going to the Space Station, not with a random event

I've been waiting for him forever.

Definately release all the items, colours etc. neopets said they would/have released plu all the items that are unannouced and get all the ids for neoitems. I wolud give a neopian tax refund (100,000np for all). Neoschools. Free up all user and petnames of frozen people and unfreeze those who were unfairly frozen. Lutari Island for all. TROTRODS plot. Half Adam's neopoint amount and do a complete sweep of the image servers to turn up any pictures that can be used on other websites neoitems, pink pt, etc. Send neomails to those who have not been on for more than 6 months asking if they want to delete their account and have the deactivation link. Then free up those names.

I would remove all of the misspellings and random first names and nonsense etc. from the dictionary and I would set the form up so that future submissions were checked against an actual dictionary before being added. It's a small thing, but it bugs me, especially now that I'm working on my Typing Terror score and I get slowed down when I'm thrown a word that's not a word. :roll:

I totally agree. I would also add many more real words to the dictionary. Word Poker used to be my favorite game, but they took out a whole bunch of real (but rare) words (as well as a lot of valid plural forms) from their dictionary. I play a lot of word games and know many of the more esoteric 3- and 4- letter words, but when the game only accepts 25-50% of the actual words I submit, my score ends up pretty crappy.

I would:

Release the Altador plot and cup prizes;
Delete all frozen accounts that have been frozen for over 6 months to free up names;
Drop the number of np in Adams hand to 1000np for the day;
Get my pet back from the ****ing person who still demands 8million for its return;
Generate a few really rare and expensive plushies for my wifes account for her gallery;
Give myself a BGC and a SuAP (and a pea chia) for the avi's

I would unfreeze every account, and ban the freezing policy. Suspensions would replace the freezing, the worst the offense, the longer the suspension.

Accounts that have been frozen or inactive for longer than 1 year would get deleted.

I would start a pet transfer system, but only transfers between account with the same email address would be allowed.

PINS would be manditory on email address and pound.

Neoboards would have a time delay feature, where you wouldn't be able to post within 2 minutes of your first post, to reduce spam.

I'd hire more/better moniters.

Far to many false-freezing/non-freezings when there should be, issues.

Hand out the Altador prizes...who wouldn't?

And release a bunch of the LE edition pets.

Good concept...but 2 minutes is too long. Something like 30-45 seconds would be more reasonable.

Implement my plan to empty scammers' accounts that have been frozen for more than a year and redistribute the wealth among players active for more than 6 months.

Ah, if I ran Neopets for a day:

* I like the idea of giving everyong FF access for one pet, so I'm going to "borrow" it.

* I'd increase the chances of REs for that day
* Alter the Snowager so that you get the avatar immediately upon blasting. No more 0.0x% of getting the darn thing.
* Beauty Contest access for all accounts! :lol:

* Make Lutaris pound-able (honestly, if you can pound a draik, there's no good, non-money related reason not to...)

Most important of all:

* Implement some sort of "transfer" ability that would allow users to move their pets between accounts without fear of losing them in the pound.

I liked a lot of the ideas mentioned before mine, too. Especially the "take all the pets/items from dead accounts and redistribute them" and "replace freezings with suspensions."
