I was just on the Neoboards a few hours ago, and I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. And I can still access my account, so I either got really lucky or the CG threat on the Neoboards is gone.

I can't say the same for trades, though, because I've been avoiding that area like the plague.

Now what I am wondering, though - me being extremely computerunwise - is the following: everytime I enter my pin, it says 'password manager can remember this password and enter it automatically the next time you log on. Would you like password manager to remember this password?' I have, up until now, always selected no as an answer, thinking this would create another cookie to be grabbed an completely invalidating the security system set up by the pin system. Is this correct?

Also - am I to fear cookiegrabbing only while trading, or even while just viewing items in the Trading Post?

My guess would be that they are well aware of the situation, and are doing everything they can to fix it quietly and without ever admitting that anything was wrong in the first place.

Anyway, i suggest you change your Neo & hotmail passwords, if that email account is linked to Neopets, change it. I recently created a new email account not linked to anything else i have purely for Neo.

And keep the person blocked, if you dont know/trust them

I never create an adress purely for something, I just created one adress, and have all my people there in different groups. You think I was CG'ed on Neo and this person got my e-mail adress from there? Now you really got me worried...

If your MSN/hotmail account is the one used for password retrieval, you might want to change it. People have had their MSN cookies cg'ed as well, and there have been cases of people hacking e-mail accounts, sending a neopets password to the e-mail address, and then reading the password, thereby getting into the victim's neopets account. That's why they recommend not having your username the same as your e-mail account name. You could get a free yahoo e-mail account and use that for your neopets e-mail; then don't give it away to anyone. If no one knows the account exists, they can't try to get your e-mail password to steal your neopets password. Just make sure to check any free e-mail account regularly to keep it from being deleted and assigned to someone else.
