Where to find the Limited Edition Neopets

I've known for some time now that, for a Krawk, you needed to have the krawk petpet and go to the fungus caves, and for the grundos, all you have to do is go to the space station. There's also the lutari, that you can get trough the mobile phone thingy(not in the mood to think about this one, at least i already got one *bows down to Clovrchild*)

But it has come to my attention with another forum, that you can obtain a Tonu once a day, when the omelette is gone.

What i was wandering is:
are there another LE pets that can be obtained outside their day? How?

Draiks via Draik eggs, the rest I can't think of off hand.

Most of the others have more released on thier special day. Check the Neopian calendar for which is when. That is how I got a Lutari, Hissi and a Cybunny.

to get the grundo, you go to virtupets space station and click on "adopt a grundo"

I believe it changes your pet to a random LE pet - it keeps the colour it was before, but if this colour is not available in the new LE species, it will be changed into a random basic colour.

Examples:
- A Ghost Blumaroo fed the potion that changes into a Poogle will change into a Ghost Poogle. (Because there exists a Ghost Poogle)

- A Christmas Blumaroo fed the potion that changes into a Poogle will change into a Poogle of a random basic colour (yellow, green, red, or blue) because a Christmas Poogle does not exist.

So, first the kind of LE pet is randomly determined, and then the colour is checked. If the colour of the old species exists in the new species, it stays the same, otherwise it becomes a random basic colour.

Well, they don't show up on the SW (I did a lot of refreshing), so it's definitely an unbuyable, and in the current climate (CG's) I'm not checking out the TP. But I couldn't think they'd be much more than 100K. 150K, 200K?

Last I checked, they were 500K.

But I'm not sure how long ago that was, so it could have gone down quite a bit since then.

Is anyone sure that's what they do? I would neo-kill for a Lutari. Also, I have a mutant Shoyru who is lovely, BUT if he turned into a mutant Draik I certainly wouldn't complain

However if he turned into a cybunny I would have to try again. Does it work on LE pets I wonder.

Mysterious Swirly Potion does turn your pet into a limited edition pet, though I'm not sure if they will turn your pet into a Draik or a Lutari. I've never seen anyone claim to get one anyway.

And yes, it does work on LE pets as well.
