What's the first thing you remember about playing Neopets?

I remember making my first Neopet, and I accidently made two of the same pet... I ended up abandoning one of them, and I felt so horrible when I did it. I also remember making one of my boy pets have "littleangel" in part of their name when I made them ...I can't remember if that was a mistake or not. That was all on my old account, though.

I remember trying to save up 1000 NP for a Neohome and thinking that it was very hard to do. (I think that it took me several days).

First thing had to be finding the right pet. Took a long time to settle on an Aisha. Then came naming her without using numbers. Thankfully, there were plenty of anime names for me to choose from.

i remember making my grarrl named tyrannomonx. looking at it now, i see its current owner is frozen. so that sucks majorly. i also remember signing up for speedyclick, and making 500nps. and i made piles of fake accounts and bought faeries since they costed under 500nps each. and my friends and i read like every book, since we could pass them around and read them as much as we wanted. almost every book costed 1np in the wiz since nobody wanted them, and we read like every book that was out at the time. yeah, those were the days

I remember thinking 100 neopoints was A LOT...the only game I played was Meerca Chase. I remember buying super cheap weapons and thinking they were the best. My first neopet was a uni.

I was excited when I discovered a Jelly World which wasn't on the Explore map (found it myself actually, by scanning all the shop IDs; I didn't read the Neoboards back then).

Wondering why there was never anything in most of the Neo shops, doing Faerie quests by looking through the marketplaces for the lowest prices, ..

I remember joining and only playing Meerca Chase (the original). I thought it was the greatest.game.ever.

I remember going to someone's shop and there was a fake random event saying "You found 5000 NP! Click here to claim it!" So naturally I clicked and it was a fake log-in page. And, of course, I logged in, and was disappointed with the lack of NP.
Luckily the scammer's account was so old and inactive that nothing happened
