Does being on the server mean you can look it up? I assume it does, but I don't know how to do it. When people post news and such that hasn't appeared on the Neopets web site yet, is that whay they're doing - finding things on the server?

Heck yeah, I want an Altador Water Plant for my NeoHome now! (Or I would, if I had one and cared, but I don't, but that still would be some sweet justice).

Usually there is a hint of what it might be if it's already entered in the database (this usually covers the Shop Wizard and the Auction Genie) and usually the next step is finding the image on the image servers. In the way they worded it, it's possible that the item is entered in the database and the image is uploaded and is just waiting for some unreleased finder to find it.

Maybe they'll reveal that since a week after the first person complete the plot, there's been a script in effect that would automatically open the prize shop as soon as someone searched for the correct prize name on the wiz. Except that that item is the Alyadorian (sic) Mircroencrinothermocombulator.
Whew, glad they finally let us know about the prizes, and that the mini plot was left open on purpose. As long as I know the prizes haven't been forgotten about, waiting for them is fine.
Heh, when I read "mini-reward for mini-plot" I pictured a teeny little trophy on user lookups and miniature versions of the usual plot prizes. Y'know, like tiny keychains of all the constellations, tiny Finneus plushie, tiny Book of Heroes, etc. Personally, I think that'd be kind of cute (even though I'm pretty sure it won't happen).
If it's simply a mini-plot, wouldn't that mean that the prizes are worser than if it were a major-plot? If the prizes aren't worth the 2+ month wait for a MINI-plot, then I will be one unhappy camper. Unhappy, indeed.
I guess it's reasonable that the reason they're leaving it open so long is for more people to finish up. I guess not everybody uses or knows about guides.

Ditto, there was much grumping when I read the editorial today. If we get second-rate prizes after all that working and waiting, I will be beyond peeved.

If you have only done the plot for prizes, then you will be disappointed, because time taken doesn't equal to prize value.
The plot wasn't hard, the only steps that really needed to be worked out was the collector and the spellbook(bravo to those who worked it out by themselves!!) and the only frustrating part was the Water Plant because it was random.
It was a mini-plot in regards to effort needed. Once a clue was worked out everyone could copy (except for Water Plant).
