Bah, I keep hoping that one day there'll be a Meerca color that really grabs me, but obviously not one of those. >.>

It's the preview image for one of the short stories. Maybe we'll be getting the Island Lutati soon?

It appears this has been spotted in the NT comics.

For those of you who were trying to find a pic of what the Grey Draik would have been had TNT not removed it from the servers here it is.

Since Draik day is Sept 9th......? I really hope so! I have had a grey PB in my sdb forever waiting for them to release this!

I said this in the 19th/20th news thread, too, but: I've been told by a staff member that the grey draik (and faerie eyrie) will never be released -- not as the versions we saw, anyway. They may be redrawn by someone else and then released in the future. The staffer couldn't give any details as to why, but no, they're not coming out. I don't know about the other redraw pets (mutant gelert and faerie hissi)... could be the same deal.

Man, and I really had my hopes up for eventually seeing the Faerie Hissi since they released the Cloud Blumaroo after it was on the server for however many years.

... Is that the Fire Ryte or whatever in the image as well? I thought those weren't released yet... or is it one of those "Released in the news but no one has seen them since" items?

That's a very tempting-looking pet, too. I'd be willing to save the 6 million it would take to get one.

I remember hearing this the last time we had a discussion about the grey draik, I wonder why they would put it in the NT with no plans to release it? Shame really, it is the most awesome pet!

Perhaps the staffer who drew the images was fired/quit or something and there were contract issues? That's the only logical thing I can think of.

That was the rumor for awhile, but I'm pretty sure it's not true. Anything that relates to Neopets is the intellectual property of the company, no matter who draws it. That's why you're not allowed to draw a picture of your lupe and then sell it, it's a violation of their copyright.

Hm. That's so...odd, to me. I see no sensible reason not to allow these to be released...I wonder what the problem could be? I've been waiting on faerie eyries for a loooong time, so this really bugs me. (If only they would at least release a faerie eyrie, even if it's a different version! Gaaah...

To avoid going off on a tangent, I like the look of that petpetpet game. Go aishas! Aishas should show up in more games, I think. ^^
