According to the NT Editorial, they're leaving the plot open so more and more players can take part. If TNT gives us prizes according to how many plot stages we completed, then surely it wouldn't be fair for members who only just completed the plot to get the same prizes as members who finished the plot as soon as the final part was released?
I don't really like the way TNT states that we will get "Mini" prizes for our "Mini" efforts either... somehow I feel that spending three hours clicking away in frustration in a water plant is slightly more than a "Mini" effort...

I sure hope that those people who figured out the steps in the plot first get rewarded more for their perseverance and cleverness. It doesn't seem right that they should get rewarded the same as those who came later and simply followed a guide to get through the whole thing. It certainly wasn't like that for the Altador Cup; those who stuck with it and spent a lot of time at it got rewarded more.
Anyway, I thought the plot was fun, but I didn't do it just for that reason. I can never afford to buy big ticket items in Neopia, so I'm hoping my time and efforts in the plot will get me a chance on getting something I normally can't afford.

The water plant wasn't the difficult part for me, actually. There were 256 possible combinations, so I worked my way from one end to the other. It was just really boring.
The frustrating part for me was when we needed to get three rocks. I might have been doing something wrong, but I had to repeat all the steps ten times before I got the third rock!

Maybe you get points for completeting stages [some giving more than others of course] and if you got it in the first... month maybe you get an extra amount, and a bunch of different time slots that give bonus points.
That would be great, as people who started late still get a chnace to win something half-decent.
the most annoying part of this plot just has to be the stupid petpet...

Ditto!
Okay, well the waterplant, I got on my first try. I was lucky, that's all.
But the darn rocks!
Ooo.. and that darn blob thing.. I could not for the life of me, find that bandage.
I am thinking the right plot right? Haha.. it's been so long.
