how? I haven't figured out how to remove or change any parts of the toolbar.

Click on the drop down arrow on the name of Neopets on Toolbar.

Choose Toolbar Options - Button Visibility. You can check or uncheck what buttons you want on the toolbar.

What the heck? Home-made extension? Isn't that ... an auto-buyer?
Congrats to your skills, but I am not sure that is entirely 100% okay to do.

In other words, it is an auto-buyer and that is against ToS.

Also it is not very sporting, you get something done automatically for you, that everyone else does manually - people that take time and effort to achieve a result.

Why have a program to do it for you, what is the challenge? Why play Neo if all you want to do is cheat to get your results?

*forces myself not to drool* And...how do you have that auto-buyer thing?

And I don't think it's cheating especially...it might depend. I'd like it just to be able to buy rare plushies and stamps that otherwise I don't get the chance to buy normally.

Auto-buyers are cheating and definately not allowed by Neopets.

This isn't the right thing I was looking for but it helps:

Quote:
Q. A friend taught me to put a heavy item on my "refresh" key overnight to get random events. Is this considered cheating?
A. Yes. You cannot have your computer play the site without you.

The key phrase is "you cannot have your computer play the site without you.

But I do know TNT had a huge Editorial about "cheat" programs such as autobuyers.

Anyway, this topic was about getting a prize from Tarla when the Alert button goes off on the Neopets Toolbar. It certainly has nothing to do with autobuyers.

A modification to a browser extension is a hack.

I respect you as a user but you are claiming unfair advantage over others.

Please try to restrain yourself. Or get Premium with the SSW or something.

Play by the rules, in any case. I can hardly think you can justify yourself with any of the Terms and Conditions. Lawyerbot would tear you apart. :P

I wouldn't risk my own account over it, that is for sure. Just think.

Well, not everyone is so much into the "hunt" as they are into the rewards. I hate the process to a reward (like restocking). I'd rather just have the reward with little effort whatsoever. But that's just me and I'm particularly lazy. I don't cheat in Neopets or anything (since I'd rather not get my account frozen).

On topic: Is that Tarla STILL giving out free stuff? Yeeesh I thought it was just going to be a one time thing but now even I'M considering that toolbar...

I'm not sure what to think - about the toolbar, that is. My comp is a Mac, so I can't install and use this toolbar. On one hand, I'm hurt that I can't even participate in this giveaway. But on the other hand, judging from some of the responses here, it sounds like the toolbar itself is kind of glitchy anyway, leaving me to wonder if it would be worth the trouble to install the toolbar even if I could do so. Hmm.

Lots of people CAN do things (workarounds) but once they find out they can, and is against a contract, refrain from such out of human decency.

And as much as I am not an uber rich Neopian and I wish to have more more more, and I worked damn hard (to play by the harsh rules) over almost 2 years now clicking on boring sponsor games, etc. just to get where I am, I do think the previous post is more to the point in that you are kind of taking the "fun" (even if it is a challenge sometimes) out of the neopets experience, even if neopets itself is still evolving (and I don't mean to Premium, I have personal reservations against that actually).

I mean you created the hack because it was a challenge right? So why not just sort of really forget you made it (acknowledge you have done so, brag to friends if you must, and be congratulated) and in the end just play the game like it is meant to be played. Creating extra false cards is cheating, if you played chess then creating extra pieces is cheating, etc.

Use your best judgement and choose wisely in the end. 0:)

Rules are inherently never fair to one-and-all; if they were there would be no need for rules in the first place (representing a "bar" for competition).

If neopets is EASY for you, and boring, I suggest asking others what they do to keep themselves mentally active on gaming, rather than hacking.
