How do I make a list?

I would like to make a list, like the one HERE at the bootom of Anime_Queen's post. I know of the 'list' buttons, but don't know how to use them.

When you make a new topic or a reply there is an option for lists underneath the "subject" text box.

I did figure that out, but couldn't make a proper list with it. But never mind, bbc code is pretty universal, and after a lot of searching, I was able to find a guide.

Anime Queen's post doesn't actually have a "list" tag in it. She just used bullets.
