This is hard, I like a lot of shows, but I don't know what my favorite shows EVER are...

Due to change:

1. The Office (US version...UK is good too but the US one totally PWNS the British version now)
2. The Simpsons
3. Futurama
4. Veronica Mars
5. Seinfeld (While it isn't one of my favorites, it's the kind of humor that anyone can enjoy. You can watch any episode and you'll like it, and you can watch an episode like ten times and still find it funny.)

*cough* Hahahahahaha. The US version doesn't capture any of the humour that the UK one did.

Okay, my list:

1. The Simpsons
2. Friends
3. The Office (UK version)
4. Scrubs
5. Eastender (although I don't like it, I can appreciate what it's done for TV.)

I don't watch enough TV to have a top five. The last time I had regular access to TV, Simpsons was still good.

However, I do arrange access to TV whenever I feel the need. I live on a large campus, and every hall has a TV room - it's easy enough. But I don't feel the need very often - I don't hold with soap operas (though I hear House is good) and written news is far preferable to airwave news.

The best TV show of all time, therefore, is one I felt a pressing need to watch. I skipped Hall Council elections to see this show. It's the best thing I could have done.

Research is a highly valuable tool, but you need to have a starting point. With this show, I now had a starting point. There was so much material I had not even begun to grasp before I saw this show.

In particular, I finally found someone truly admirable, and, after research, true to the letter. Why is it that I only seem to hear about these people when they're dead?

Mediocrity is a major fixture in all forms of political life, and pots and kettles, Fudges and Scrimgeours, are, at the same time, hogs of the spotlight and completely irrelevant. Now that I know what true leadership is, I won't settle for mediocrity and I will not snipe at the other mediocre guy - a house divided cannot stand.

I am now posting bipartisan flyers under the name "Starfleet Agent". The name's only connection to Star Trek is a play on words. And I finally feel like I'm accomplishing something, especially since I can draw from a base of information I never had before.

And if you want to contest the show's greatness, take it to the Debate forums.

Do what you will; but I will hinder it if I may.

I'd be wary of transmitting them any shows depicting aliens, in case they were offended by our interpretation of extraterrestrial life...
