Hmm...pirates. I think they're going to spawn out more this year than last year. I am tempted to be a pirate as well...

Hahaha...I love the bowling pin idea!! Group costumes are fun!!

Last year I went as an black Angel. Not that creative though.

You can always go with the easy cut-two-holes-in-a-sheet to be a ghost....or TOGA!! *chants* :P

I asked my boyfriend if he would be a pirate. No ulterior motives there, nope, none at all. :)

Ha ha! I can't blame you. Pirates are sexy.

My girl pals are saying I should go as an Angel of Death. Might be interesting...

So every year, my goal was to create something COMPLETELY orginal that you cant find in a costume store, and create it out of whatever I could find. Such examples are my Captain Planet Costume, my life-size spongebob squarepants costume, a tuxedo-penquin, flying monkey from the wizard of oz.....

...this year, im doing the opposite.... im doing something thats completely unoriginal, but im going ALL OUT, going to the very last detail. Just like you guys all said in the past 10 posts.... im going as a pirate. Like i said, totally unoriginal.... BUT. Im going as captain jack sparrow! Im sure some of you have seen my threads about it ... hehe.... im excited! :D

I'm not going out to a store or buying mine online, its a personal project where i make the wig, buy the fabric to make a bandana and vest and such, peice together the beads, get authenitc moustaches, hat, coat, sword, flintlock, compass, etc..... im making an AWESOME costume you wont find anywhere else.... so instead of making a cheap costume thats orginial, im making an unoriginal expensive costume. ive spent at least 200 bucks on my hat, coat, and fabric allready.... and other stuff. Yeah. So thats my costume this year. Your darn RIGHT ill be posting pictures.

Costumes are so fun! I love making costumes too!! (a thread should definately be made, but since you seem slightly more fanatical than me, i'll let you do it :P) Some of my favourites i've made are:
A Dorothy Costume, including the shoes, which i glued sequins all over.
A "britney spears air hostess from the toxic video" costume
A Snow white costume
but i've made so many, i love fancy dress!!!

Oh, and everyone dressing up as pirates - you HAVE to have a sword of somekind! it's so much more fun with a sword!

Guy: Look! I get to have a sword!

I was never allowed to celebrate Halloween, so I don't know what it's like.

Its ok, just go to lots of general fancy dress events! I've only dressed up for halloween once, and that wasnt for trick or treating or anything, it was a theme night at a ba.! (actually twice if you count one time when i was a kid when my next door neighbours were gonna take me, but when they came to get me their costumes scared me so much i refused to leave the house)

Most brick-and-mortar costume shops carry Star Wars costumes, if you need it there that quickly.

I'm planning on being (Barbara Gordon-era) Batgirl for Halloween. I've got the costume itself mostly sorted out, but I need to figure out how to dye my (very long and dark) hair a nice bright red for a week or so, and then get rid of it completely. Does any of the temporary stuff last that long?

Doubtful. Most of them are of the one-wash-out variety, and the rest tend to never come completely out. At least that's my experience.
