"I have to go now,"

"Well, how convenient for you AND the clock,"

I love that line. Hilarious.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a dodgeball!

*throws a wrench at Ryan*

I don't know about "Worst Movie Ever", but I still pine for the hour or so I lost watching "The Village". I can usually get into those types of movies... but no, not this. Terribly boring and not that much plot at all, really. For something that's so "plot-driven", there doesn't seem to be much of it.

Dodge, duck, dip, dive, and... dodge...
*deftly dodges wrench*

The good thing about The Village was the plot-twist-ending. The rest... I dunno if I would put on the Worst Movie Ever list...

The terrible "plot twist" (which was predictable and hardly a twist...), is the exact reason why the movie got so much hate (pretty much any review you read will consider it a failure). x) It was the worst "plot twist" I've ever seen in a movie, and pretty much the worst part of it (aside from the boring crap that came before it...)

It was better than Lady in the Water at least...

Yeah, didn't see that coming a MILE AWAY.

Me and the mate I saw it with got the ending quite a while before it was revealed in all it's pseudo-shocking glory.

Y'know, I thought the whole idea of this thread was the WORST movies of all time, not just bad ones.

Did anyone actually watch these movies expecting a solid film?

White Chicks - I find it interesting this movie made it on here and yet none of the Scary Movies have? All four of the Scary Movies are way worse then this movie. (but then again I don't like parody movies) If you went to this movie and didn't realize what it was gonna be like... don't see Soul Plane.

Dumb and Dumber - the name is Dumb and Dumber... if you saw this movie and didn't expect the tone of the movie... you need help.

Lara Croft's Tomb Raider - its based on a video game, name me one video game based movie that isn't just a wee bit bad.

Tomb Raider 2 - see above.

The Pacifier - aw come on! This is a good clean family film made to appeal to both children of all ages and adults.

Jurassic Park 2: Lost World - bad but not the worst.

Jurassic Park 3 - see above.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith - Mr & Mrs Smith?! Are you kidding me?! The action! The plot! The torn affections! The only bad thing about this movie is the fact that it has Brad Pitt in it.

Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey - ... its Bill and Ted. Bad, but not the worst.

Batman (Adam West) - I cannot believe someone didn't absolutly love this movie. POW BAM SLAM its just awesome! Amazing that this made it on here but none of the other batman movies have.

my point is... these movies may be bad but they are definatly not the worst.

That is the idea. I'm waiting for people to start telling me which movies on the list are to be the WORST ones. The list right now is just notable bad ones. I want people to argue for movies to come off the list. The final list is going to be the worst 10 movies of all time.

Personally I believe that all of the movies on Nessa's list (save White Chicks, because I've never seen it) aren't worthy for this list. ;)

Then again, if we were truly going for the worst movie of all time, we'd have a bunch of low budget unknowns filling up the list, instead of practically everything on here. Also, since opinions are different, people may actually think that the movies they lists are the worst.

Movies on the list that are most worthy to be the worst:

Gigli
Battlefield Earth
Elektra
Catwoman
Daredevil
Garfield the Movie
Rollerball
Son of the Mask

All of those were terrible, terrible wastes of my optical nerve. >_>

List updated! Movies under contention have been noted, and Kugetsu has placed the first votes for Worst Movie, and those votes have been noted. Movies currently under contention will be removed if the contention is not contested. :P

Sat Sep 16, 2006 6:58 pm

Oh! We're supposed to vote.

Seeing how I haven't seen most of the movies on the list, I can only vote for the ones I have seen, and aren't under contention:

Battlefield Earth
Sideways
Troy
Rollerball (2002)
Kull the Conqueror

All of the others can have my vote since I thought they were so bad they weren't worth seeing :P

As to some I nominated and are in contention:
I was a kid when I saw Dumb and Dumber. I was the only one in the theater not laughing. I was dragged there against my will too. I did not see this by choise and to this day I can't find it funny.

Mr and Mrs Smith can be dropped because it was somehow popular. There were just parts of the plot that didn't click for me. It could have been a lot better than it was.

The rest can be dropped to since I see everyones points. I was just listing bad movies that shouldn't have been made in the first place, like Scooby-Doo and Mario Bros. I appologize for the Adam West Batman since that is one of my favorite bad movies, up there with Mallrats.

PS: Aside from making a list of WORST movies, can't we also have a list of BAD movies? The BAD ones can be the rejects from the Worst list :D (And include good bad movies like Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back or Night at the Roxberry (sp?))

Your votes have been noted and I removed the movies that I think you were saying to. I have also placed under contention the movies that I thought were unworthy of being placed on the list. Feel free to hash out and vote at will. Just make sure that it is perfectly clear which ones you are voting for and which you want taken off the list.

Edit: New thread for that.

I personally thought that movie was hilarious. The songs were funny and overall, it was just a good laugh. My boyfriend and I enjoyed watching it, and I could definitely watch it again.

I really liked that movie. I thought the whole story was really interesting. Tom Hanks did a great job and the music is wonderful.

Edit: I wanted to add my votes for the worst movies from the original list.

Bring It On Again
Cabin Fever
Daredevil
Sideways
War of the Worlds

Many oother movies on the list, I have either not seen, or I have seen, but they're not completely horrible. These that I listed were the most horrible I had seen from the list.
