I recently adopted an excellently named green female acara called Kirta. Just Kirta, five letters, two syllables. I was ridiculously pleased with myself for this catch. xD

Now, I think the name does suit a green female acara...but I rather like royalboy zafaras, and have not quite been able to think of a suitable name for one.

So do you think Kirta could be a good name for a male royal zafara? It is a touch girlish, but on the other hand it could suit the personality of a delicate, shy prince with frail health.

If Kirta were to remain an acara and female, I'd have her stay green or blue and have a willful, adventurous temperament. (So far, of all acara colors I like plain acaras the best).

Alternatively, Kirta could be a totally different species/gender/color. Post which species/gender/color/personality/etc you think when you hear the name 'Kirta'! ^__^ Have fun.

*drums fingers* Hm, I think the Royal Zafara is a good idea ^^; Nothing much really comes to mind when I hear the name "Kirta."

Haven't thought of colours yet, but the name, for some reason, seems to me to suit either a female Uni or an Eyrie. And now that I think of it maybe Green would be the best basic colour to match.
Kirta first made me think of flight, but a beautiful flyer, no leathery wings or bugs or so, and thus the Eyrie seemed to be the most obvious choice. But yet the Green Uni just shouted 'Kirta'at me to, for some reason... Maybe the gentle galloping, the horn not for war, but just making it even more gentle...
Hope she (she really needs to remain a she) appeals to you, and if she doesn't, finds a good home.

I like the idea of a delicate, shy prince. The name is pretty girly, but it could work, I kinda like slightly effeminate boy names.

But I also think it'd be a perfect name for an eyrie. Almost any color eyrie. This coming from a confirmed eyrie fanatic though.

A uni would be cool too. I'd go for a brown or spotted uni, I think that'd match the name, and I love the colors. Unis are one of the few pets that actually look good spotted.
