"The sun is setting on Krawk Island. Pacing around lazily, you try to think of something to do. It's been a long day, a long boring day at that. Living in Neopia Central was great. Moving to Krawk Island however, was a bad idea. You've been here for a whole month, but you haven't made any friends, not like the folks around here seem like the friendly sort anyway... "

Mmmm... something smells good in the Bakery.

I wondered if there would be anything special with the Gormball tournaments, and here it is:

Quote:
Your Final Score : 44 (x4 = 176 points)
(you win that many Neopoints!)
Wait a second... today is the Annual Gormball Championships, right? Well then, your NP prize was just doubled! Hoorah!

I also got a green lipstick (yipee), and of course the avatar since this is the first time I've won.

Odd. Wonder why they never redrew any of the Gormball characters.

I swear I read somewhere (I think it was from the Neopets Magazine) that they weren't going to for one reason or another. Honestly I like that they kept some remnants of the "Old Neopia" in tact, too much of it has gone in recent years so quickly. *shrugs*

That reminds me of Elton John for some reason.

I really like the gormball shopkeepers and fun images, the scorchio in particular. It looks more...streamlined? Or something. I just like it.

And I can't look at the darned bobble head toys for too long without my head starting to rock.

The first time I looked at the news page on Neopets, that was bopping in time to my music! And for the entire song!

Haha, no offense meant to scorchio lovers, but that scorchio looks good because it looks less ..fat. Scorchios kind of tend to be a little on the round side, belly-wise. Must be all the dodging-Gormball-exercise he gets.

There's nothing wrong with them being round, at least they're not anorexic!

That's perfectly true. It just gets to me a little, the way their left leg is drawn. Makes their butts look fat. :roflol:

You have a point there about anorexia. Imagine one day, we all log on to Neo and find all the pets mysteriously skinny like sticks. The horror.
Over-starved, perhaps. ;)

It's the glasses, and the thick/no neck.

I think he's cute. I saw an Eloton John muzik video, and I saw the little guy bobbing his head back a forth

I'd like to have a gormball trophy for completing the game. Shame you don't get one :)
