Ok,i've been pondering abt this issue for quite some time now. Both me and my bro ply neopets. We share the same internet connection via a router. The thing is that we are alz connected to neopets at the same time plying the SAME games and buying the SAME stock.Becos of this i am alz afraid of loggin on to neopets when he is logged on.I am afraid that i might be iced for "plying games and earning nps on more than one account" even though both accounts are registered under different email addresses.Does TNT go to the extent of tracking your IP address and checking to see how many accounts are actually logged on using this IP?gosh, am i being paranoid?

I understand that beyond the obvious, they look at play patterns and mysterious info only they have access to. A ton of people buy the same stock every day, there isn't often much more than one or two stocks @ 15, so I wouldn't worry about something like that. They have a lot of info to look at besides stuff like that.

And I think you just allayed your own fear there; if you're both playing at the same time, TNT can see that it's more than one person there because it's impossible to be doing multiple things on two accounts at exactly the same moment in time. It's possible for one person to play multiple accounts at once, but they can only click on one thing at a time and would be doing different activities than two people playing separatly would.

So really, unless you and your brother use the same 1337 typing ski11z in every neomail to most of the same people, I wouldn't worry abt it.

Suspicious activity under such conditions would be the exchange of money / items. As long as one account does not seem to be getting richer at the expense of the other, you should be fine. Also do not play the same games in world challenge at the same time, share LC or MP answers, or any such that would be interpreted as cheating.

They could actually play the same World Challenges if they wanted to -- the system won't match scores from people on the same IP address.

My husband and I both play neopets. We've got seperate e-mails on our accounts (obviously) but as I'm a more "serious" neopets player he generally gives me quite a bit of his winnings / earnings, as he only really does it for the games, and the lab ray and isn't bothered with much of the other aspects of it.

We use the same computer, but different browsers, and both stay logged in all the time. He's actually given me quite a bit of nps, as well as quite a few items, and we've never been dinged for it.

We both do things like the dalies, and Tarlas giveaways if we're both home and one of us notices it.

It's really obvious we're two seperate people though I suppose since he has more "masculin" pets, and we play different games.

My best friend and I have played for years. One Christmas season something was wrong with my internet and she offered to log into my account and do the Advent calendar for me for a couple days. They ended up freezing both of our accounts and were very rude and unreasonable about allowing us to prove we were 2 seperate people (offered to send them copies of our drivers licences, social security cards, and birth certificates). We live on completely different sides of the city and obviously have two different IP addresses that are from two different internet providers (I have dsl and she has cable). They completely failed to take into consideration that in no other aspect for all of the time we'd been registered did we use each others accounts to benefit each other. You never know with them. If they have it in their heads someone is cheating they will freeze the account and won't be lenient about giving it back.

But logging into someone elses account for ANY REASON is against the terms and conditions and is totally different than two seperate people having two seperate accounts on the same IP address which is the issue here. Had YOU gone to your friends house and logged into YOUR account then you'd have a case (although I strongly recommend NOT doing that even though I play on multiple different servers and internet clients and have had no problems (college student)). If you admit that your friend logged into your account, then you don't really.

There are heaps of people that cheat the WC, you can tell by the same usernames and the likes, and the don't seem to be getting iced, so quite frankly, you have different emails, and it's not like you guys are interchanging NPs all the time etc. so you should be safe :)

You could leave a note on your UL like many people do, but TNT has said that they don't really take that into consideration.

Yes, that is true. However, the reason why it was frozen was not for breaking that rule. It was for having multiple accounts, which we clearly were not multiples. If they froze the accounts for logging into another person's account it would've been fine. I long since deleted the email correspondance with them since it was years ago but their reasoning they gave us was that we were the same person. If two different people with two different IP and browsers can be the same person then it's equally feasible they could look at two different people on the same computer being the same person. I'm not saying it would happen. I'm just saying that you never know.
