What are the surefire ways to level a pet down a little?

I'm playing Von Roo, but it's a bit of a stalemate: I win as much as I lose (I wish that happened in games where I actually wanted a positive result)... although today it was a draw and I lost the avatar...

The labray levels down, of course, but I really don't want to use it on my pet.

Is there such a thing as a negg or potion? Any of the wheels have a level down result? Any other place I could visit?

The trick with von roo is to click each even second for a rise in level and click on an odd second for a drop :)

Sadly my internet connection is such that there is no guarantee it will load the page on the same second I click, or a constant length of delay...

Just 5 more levels to lose though... I will keep trying for that odd second, thanks for your help!

Just out of curiosity... Why?

I don't know what Rin's particular situation is, but in some cases lower levels = cheaper training. For example, I have a Blumaroo who's currently at level 41. (I'm not actively training this one, this is just to make a point.) If you notice at the Island Training School, after level 40, he starts charging you three codestones to train instead of two. The rest of my 'roo's stats are nowhere near double his level, so why pay an extra 4,000-7,000 NP per session? It's easier to get that one level knocked back down and save some NP until I'm actually ready to "graduate" to the three-codestone tier of training.

Now, like I said, I don't actually know if that's the case with Rin. I'm just saying, there are some cases where it's more cost-effective to have a lower level.

On a similar note, is there a way to reduce hp?

You can decrease levels in the BD with a pair of count roo fangs but they're very rare and expensive.

The only way to lose HP is through the lab ray. Sorry there isn't an easy way. :(

Rakumel had hit the nail on the head, and--as you can imagine--someone who is miserly enough to attempt to level their pet down rather than fork out the extra for training is far too cheap to spend millions on those ;) Still, that's interesting to know... there is a way. Thanks!

I thought I was getting the hang of the odd-second thing the last couple of days, but I beat Von Roo tonight. Must be because it's Friday the thirteenth... or I'm just slow.

Is that even possible? I remember reading somewhere that it wasn't, and checking my lab logs I've never gotten hp lowered.
