Hi Kula, don't worry about that! I never used coordinates at all, and got it to work. I think it's just about getting the approximate positions that everyone has, not an exact numerical combination. Good luck to you!

i couldn't find my stupid lamp post.. i had all of my rooms mapped, but couldn't get into the top left room for some reason, there were no doorways! finally i got scared by the "monster" and ended up in that room, was able to get my lamp and voila!

One thing that I hate about this....I'm always in bed when the news comes out so I can't do it right away or help people figure it out!

ok, i got my stuff sitting in the coordinates (the right place). The food is there too....the monster comes, and she ends up in another room..??????Am I supposed to hold the food until i see the monster?

gah!

EDIT: never mind, i went out and back in and got the message....

I put my food in the upper right corner and it worked. I just kept refreshing until the monster came.

edit: Topsy, I held the food with everything else in place. I kept refreshing in the room until I saw "Something is following you" and I placed the food and refreshed again. That seemed to work for me.

For those who can't use the co-ordinates and are doing it by hand-eye co-ordination, this might help you out.

The Beastie must:

1).Come in and eat, 2).Trip over the lamp, 3). Hit the chair and 4).See himself in the mirror.

*If you find that you are missing one of the four events, try adjusting that item:

*Doesn't eat food - go get some food, and drop it on the floor!

*Doesn't trip over lamp - move lamp

*Doesn't bump chair - move chair

*Doesn't see reflection - move mirror

holy crab cakes! I was looking around at random rooms, tryin to go back to where my mirror and stuff was, and then this happens

The mysterious, hulking creature stops and sniffs at the pile of rotten food on the floor. It picks up the food and eats it.

It seems to have an odd effect on the creature -- it's gotten all dizzy! It careens around the room.




The creature dizzily gazes at the chipped mirror -- and it seems terrified by its reflection! Whimpering, it turns and flees.




The creature doesn't look where it's going. It trips on the lamppost lying on the floor!




It falls toward the ground, and whacks its head on the chair.




The creature lies in a pool of moonlight, and you get your first good look at it. It appears to be an overgrown, misshapen Gelert. He whimpers sadly, no longer seeming like a dire threat.

Slowly, you begin to approach the creature, holding out your hand in a tentative gesture of friendship...

Now that thats over, I can now rest, and go back to my drawing. I couldnt finish that part last night, so I went to bed, and then managed to finish it this morning.

I'm doing the cave thing now, and wanted to say that when the "monster" scares you, it doesn't seem to be completely random which room you end up in, I've always endded up in a room adjacent to the one where I got that message.

WHere is the shack located? I did the haunted fairground and got the extra message. But, i dont see a shack.
