What is/was your favorite unit(s) in school? How about your least favorite?

I don't know if it was my all-time favorite, but I really liked doing bridge things in woodshop in seventh grade. (You know, the one where you see whose bridge can hold the most sand?)

My least favorite unit was probably the times we did electricity and magnetism, because that stuff kind of freaks me out, and I get these really uncomfortable shivers. I also didn't like when we had to do proofs in geometry.

Unit?

Well judging from what you're describing us Brits call them "Topics"... now I think about it "unit" is sometimes used... but not often...

I quite enjoyed learning about Brazil in Humanities (the geog bit of course) especially when it came to writing the assessment... teehee... but then we learnt about Britain in 1750-1800 (I think) and I actually found that interesting and when it came to the assessment I really enjoyed putting myself in the shoes of a slave.

The Greek unit in seventh grade. We got to wear togas(well, I think they were chitons, but same difference, clothing made of bedsheets) every day and were served grape juice a couple times.
More recently, we were discussing perception in Psychology, and the teacher was using optical illusions to demonstrate principles of visual perception like figure-ground and stuff. It's weird, but it's fun to try to explain to someone how to see something.
My biggest letdown was Drama 1 in ninth grade. You always think it's going to be fun, but then the teacher turns out to hate students or has a grudge or whatever.

The Shakespeare unit in seventh grade... one of the most beneficial things I've ever done in my entire life. Without it, I would have never met most of my very good friends, and would have spent my entire summer by myself near a computer. Silly how life works sometimes.

Favorite: Hm... not sure. Anything that required me being artistic and pwning my classmates with me 1337 p0w3rz.

Favorites: Partial fraction decomposition last year in Pre-Calc (If it has to do with algebra and long, slightly drawn out problems, chances are I'll like it) and organic chemistry in Chemistry. :)

Least Favorite: Something in ancient Global History. Probably the unit on Mesopotamia because I knew the information about it already.

My favorite was gesture-sketching in art in eighth grade.

My least favorite was music class in third and fourth grade, and I'm sure a lot of my classmates would say the same. At least we kept duping the teacher when she proved totally clueless - once we tricked her into thinking that the Jews had a version of Santa Claus named Hanukkah Sam. And then it was posted on the wall where the parents got to see. :D

Do what you will; but I will hinder it if I may.

Least Favourites: Any unit in any math class besides Geometry, and that's a lot. Group activites when I get stuck with people that don't do anything or won't even talk.

Favorite: Mostly everything. Top on the list is science, P.E....etc.

Least favorite: Health and Social Studies........ sometimes
Just because the teacher who is teaching health (and Social Studies) right now mostly talks about things that have no connection to the lesson in any what way. And he says the same things over and over again...........
