You can't have any rotting or decayed vines. The others are okay. I'm guessing you need over 15 vines to get up the cliff/rock wall.

so we're supposed to discard the rotting and decaying and not use them?

Correct. I'm guessing you need at least 20/21 vines of the remaining types. (Icky, gross, crumbling)

I seem to be stuck here:
Image

I havent poked the Hissi yet, and my pointy stick isnt appearing when I click the arrow either. It's in my quest inventory only. Ive tried refreshing to get a path, leaving the HW and reentering and everything, but it keeps taking me to this clearing with no way out. Am I missing something?

Darn it I hate to re-post my BEGGING FOR HELP so soon (especially because PPT is so slow right now due to everyone's enthusiasm over in-the-swamp vine-weaving heh) but if Daze or anyone else kind enough to help lil' ol' me would be much appreicated. Pardon in advance if I am already answered after I re-ask.

Does anyone know what to do in the event of a dead end? I cannot pick up or click any thing whatsoever, I can't get out with refreshing or going back to the Shack or anything. I lost my stick after I poked the Hissi but didn't get any response from the stupid two-faced fake snake anyway. :P

EDIT: Cerise! Hugs. We seem to be in the same predicament?

So which vines are which? I have light green stripes on forest green, teal on blue-gray, orange on sage, yellow-green on spring green, and yellow-orange on brown (in order L-R).

How do you work out what the vines are called?

I'm finding any other vines, as well. Most of my decayed and rotting vines are outside the area. Perhaps some can try having one decayed and one rotten and then climbing up?

Here's a screenie of the clearing.

For me, it seems that discarding my rotten and decayed vines makes it worse. Having them gives me the message in the screenie; not having them gives me the same message but without mentioning Sophie.

Cerise, the stick actually appeared in your Quest Inventory? I checked several times and it never appeared there. Only on the side of the screen next to the arrow, but now I am stuck at a dead end with nothing to do! :(

Look at your quest inventory to tell vine types.
