im gonna make people mad lol it has just taken me only 10mins or so of random clicking to find all the vines, a little longer to work out the combo (i had to dump them all and pick them up 1 at a time watching for message change form very strong to very weak to see which i had 0 of) and then a max of 10mins more to find allt he meepits and make them dance :D

i ddint map, just noticed when a path took me back to the same room as before and took a different path, no photographic memory required.

help please

Does anyone have any idea why I wouldn't be able to get the stick? I have tried all weekend....I only have 5 rooms....and the stick is spinning at the top of each screen...but it's nowhere to be found.

 :x

any advice?

Have you clicked on the Hissi? I believe you have to do that before your stick will appear.

Yeah, a lot of people have reported that, so make sure you click him and get the message at the top of the screen before you go searching for your stick.

I knew my photographic memory had to come in handy for something other than bio revision, although I deserve some good plot Karma for only being able to complete 4 steps of the LDP cause I got lost in my toomb :(

I think the vines and meepits + the ten minutes I spent on the water plant have me almost evened out now.

Personally, I don't think that it's so much a combination of vines needed, as a certain amount of strength. It seems to me that when you are holding ALL the vines (more than you need), Gilly starts first with the weakest ones and uses only as many as she actually needs, eliminating/not using the stronger ones.

It's as if you are holding 10 1-foot pieces each of thread, string, yarn, cord, and rope. You only need to go 30 feet, so you'll use 30 pieces.... if you start with the thread and the string and yarn, you'll have 30 weak pieces and discard the ones you don't didn't use-- the strong ones.

If you drop the thread and string and yarn, and only hold the cord and the rope, then she'll start with cord, then go to rope and, you'll have the strongest rope available. Well kind of, I mean it's a strange analogy that wouldn't work in real life, but it's the best way to explain the way I understand it.

------------------------------------

With that perspective/opinion stated, I'll add that the "helpful vines hint" posted in the official first post seems overly complicated to me with the counting, going back, dropping one kind, trying the next kind.

I collected ALL of the vines. Dropped them in neat piles all in one "room." Then I followed this plan:

Pick up one complete pile to see the message (strong, weak, almost strong enough, etc). Make a note of whether that pile was strong, weak or medium. Drop that pile.

Pick up the next complete pile, repeat until you know strength of all piles. The nice thing here is that you only have to pickup-putdown 6 times, instead of trying piece after piece after piece.

Now, pick up the two strongest complete piles.

When you see the cliff, you can get an idea how many more pieces you need by looking at how big they are and how far the rope is from the bottom -- but don't pick up too many or you'll have to start over! For instance, if you think you need three, pick up only one. If you see you need probably 6 more, pick up only 3.

also, here again is my map of the middle (vines) woods, for people to check with theirs and see if it's compatible.

lol, guess I was incredibly lucky, don't worry I'll get hideously stuck later on in the plot and have to spend hours banging my head against my desk.

I got close to that...not every screen, but close to it. Then I said, "I have six meepits! Now I need to find the elusive SEVENTH MEEPIT!" I was prepared to be looking for him for hours, but I clicked again...and there he was. Then I clicked like, two more times...and I was at the dancing part.

Me, I'm worried about the possibility of a war. I'm not a battle type...I've never even set foot near the Battledome and my pets are woefully out of condition. :(

The meepit thing didn't take me too long once it gave me the meepit juice finally. Had to spend almost as much time rearranging the meepits to make them dance as I did acctually finding them.

Wonder what's next....

I got 459 in meepit juice break, but no meepit juice - is this normal?

I had the same thing happen to me. Try to catch a ghost meepit first then go play meepit juice break again. Still not sure if you need a score of 400+ or just to get to level three so I would do both just to be safe. Hope it works for you.

Is mapping even possible?

Yes. I mapped the 3 differnet woods and I think it was easier, becuase I then had a general idea of were I was going.

Well, they said 400+ is good enough. I did try to catch the meepit before I played meepit juice break though, don't know if that is required to initiate the sequence. If you have it, you should be able to see a glass of pink liquid when you click on the pull-out tab when you are in the Deep Woods.

There's no pull-out tab, due to the absence of any items :P

OK I'll find a ghost meepit first - will there be a confirmation message of me getting the juice?

Tue Oct 17, 2006 4:41 pm

for those people who did the mapping thingy...

please confirm my research results:

1. the SWAMP map has 5 unique screens (including the stick and hissi screen)
2. the HIGH WOODS map has 22 unique screens (including the stone door)
3. the DEEP WOODS map has 30 unique screens (including the light meepit door)

Theory: THE MAPS ARE NOT UNIQUE FOR EACH USER
I think that there are only a limited number of these maps that are assignd for each user. At some point there maybe identical maps for some users.
Why, because using the ActionScript in Flash, it is quite hard to make "linked lists/binary trees" and considering that they have a limited time because (maybe... just maybe) the mosters are about to explode on Halloween... they will opt for a simpler programming.

This is just my humble opinion. :) Good luck to all...
