Okay, I've tried to read through all of the older posts, I really have.
The combine button tells me that the composite is not found! What am I doing wrong, does anybody know?
Edit: Never mind, figured it out
*headdesk*
Having bronchitis is not making this easy.

right then... now to await enlightenment on the specteral essense... gah.
Actually.. this wasn't too hard... it was just time consuming. In the later stages you get minuses as well as pluses, so be aware of that. I found the best way to work it out was to get each ingredient and work out what went up and what went down if I did each thing to it for 30 seconds.. for instance: Bumroot - Burn for 30 seconds - which attributes changed?
I did this for each ingredient and compiled a list... then I just had to look at which techniques increased the attribute I needed. I had to do a little adjusting at the end. My averages were too high for one and too low for the other, but fortunately one of the techniques increased one and decreased the other so I managed to level them out.
Be aware also, that some ingredients will only increase to a certain level in an attribute regardless of what you do to it. My Leafy wouldn't go beyond 24 in divination regardless of what I subjected it to. If this happens, just increase one of the other ingredients that will still increase to balance it out. Work out the average on a piece of paper to avoid too many problems and ta dah!
I think my scores for the 3rd stage were:
Div: Bumroot: 76 Leafy: 90 Pulp: 24 Loam: 133 Average = 80.75
Pow: Bumroot: 38 Leafy: 45 Pulp: 94 Loam: 142 Average = 79.75
Totals needed: Div = 81 +/- 3 (thus 80.75 works)
Pow = 78 +/- 3 (79.75 works! Whooo)
It took me a while... a lot of shuffling of numbers and fine adjustment. Just be patient and prepared to spend a long time fine tuning.
I had to restart my second stage second batch... I got to a point where the ingredients i'd selected weren't increasing enough to bring the average up. Eugh. So yeah...

I have a feeling there is something we are totally missing for the Spectral Essence. It is listed as comp #1 which makes me think we should be able to do it. I don't think that it is something that we are waiting to be released (which is a big theory over on the neoboards).
I think if we really couldn't progress any further we'd see the "to be continued" button. It just looks we haven't found out what to do yet.

Looked up the word Spectral in Merriam-Webster and it said this:
Main Entry: spec·tral
Pronunciation: 'spek-tr&l
Function: adjective
1 : of, relating to, or suggesting a specter : GHOSTLY
2 : of, relating to, or made by a spectrum
For those of you who don't know a spectrum is, there are many, but this one would seem as though it would be related perhaps to this:
1 a : a continuum of color formed when a beam of white light is dispersed (as by passage through a prism) so that its component wavelengths are arranged in order b : any of various continua that resemble a color spectrum in consisting of an ordered arrangement by a particular characteristic (as frequency or energy)
My guess is that Spectral Essence will, for sure, be from a ghostly being, possibly the Spirit of Slumber, and it may have a variety of colors (that second part is just me playing semantics)...that's what I'm thinking...I could be wrong, but I'm just throwing that out there.
