(NOTE: This is for Stage 4)

* 4g Babaa Wool - Crushed
* 2g Bagguss Pulp - Crushed, Burned, Soaked, Dessicated
* 2g Crushed Jurpleberries - Burn, Crushed, Soaked
* 2g Crushed Jurpleberries - Crushed, Soaked
= All actions to the MAX!

Ice Plasma FOUND!
* 1g Bumroot
* 1g Sharpgrass
* 1g Nova
= BURN and CRUSH each, all to the MAX.
Then add
* 7g Sharpgrass
= Do NOTHING to this, except add it.

1g madvine root, 1g nova essence: Conjuring/Divination: vine (burnx), nova (crushx)
1g crushed jurpleberries (pick the two you need below):
Conjuring: crushx
Divination: soakx
That gives a total of 1500 to the two properties you need. All that is left is to combine the 4 into one composite, then get 1 gram of some random ingredient that wasn't used yet (like leafy slorgblossom), and add that in.

Oh help help please help! *waves white flag*

I've gotten to the round with the 23g Spectral Essence and the 10g Anti-Gravitic Goo, and I've got those made. But I can't figure out how to make my third composite, which looks like this:

or my daughter's third composite, which looks very similar:

(yes, I'm helping her with the math -- she's 9!!)

I can't find a distribution like ours on any of the petpages that I've seen linked, and I can't figure out the way to figure this out... Is there an algorithm? Some structured way to solve it? I've been banging my head against it long enough that I'm cranky and snappish, and I'm two splits back trying to read posts on this thread, so forgive me if I'm asking something that everyone already knows. Please help!!

In case anyone is in need of this combination in some shape or form.

Composition 3, part 4.

Final product was

Miscellaneous Composition

Quantity: 12 grams

Conjuring: +68

Divination: +69

Enchantment: +69

Power: +100 (this is easily adjustable to higher or lower power levels, see math)

First get 3 g. of bloodfern loam. This is the only really complicated part.

Burn it until Enchantment reaches -25.
Crush it until Enchantment reaches -100.
Soak it until Enchantment reaches -25 (again)
dry it until Enchantment reaches 276-277. Power at this point should be at 270.

At this point you can calculate exactly what you need to reach your goal for power, by using this formula.

Take the power you have on this 3 g. sample, and multiply it by .25
Look at your goal power, and subtract the above amount from your goal.

In my case, my power was at 270 and my goal was 100, therefore it looked like 270*.25=67.5 and 100-67.5=32.5 This is what the power on your remaining ingredients must add up to.

Take that number and divide it by .25 and that is what your next sample must equal in power. All other samples will be added unaltered. In my case this was 32.5/.25=130.

2nd ingredient: 3 g crushed jurpleberries. Dry until you reach your power goal. In my case, that was 130. Combine with first.

3 and 4 ingredients: add any 2 others, unaltered.

For the first one:
3g of Wool. Crush until Power/Div is at 264
3g of Berries. Soak until Div is at 152
Add in 6g of other ingredients

Second:
3g of Wool. Crush until Power/Div is at 260
3g of Berries. Soak until Div is at 148
Add in 6g of other ingredients

I tried something different and....I made more ice plasma.

Incidentally, if you burn the root, crush the grass and soak the nova stuff you get the ice plasma.

Hey Alex...you mentioned in the previous post on page 8 you'd heard something about Platinum Mist being solved too and were going to look into it...have you heard anything more on that?

Is the ice plasma in the first post the same as Platinum Mist that Sophie is asking me for?

Sadly, no.

First of all, a Composite of head-banging, crankiness, and snappyness won't work. I tried it. All I can do is offer my example with some notes I took. If you want to take the time to try maxing out certain Actions on certain Ingredients, you would see patterns. But no time for that.

Composite #3 (Example):

Quantity: 12 grams
Relevant property: Enchantment
Target value: +69 +/- 2
Relevant property: Divination
Target value: +105 +/- 2

Bloodfern Loam (Dessicate)
Enchantment: +220
Divination: +243

Leafy Slorgblossom (Dessicate)
Enchantment: +19

Babaa Wool (Dessicate & Crush & Soak)

Bronze Sansam (Dessicate & Crush)
Enchantment: +16

Total Enchantment: 270 / 4 = 67.5
Total Divination: 416 / 4 = 104

Any action on Leafy Slorgblossom primarily raises Divination.
Burning Bagguss Pulp raises Power.
Dessicating Sharpgrass lowers Divination.
Burning Sharpgrass lowers Divination.

Dessicating Crushed Jurpleberries raises Power ONLY.
Soaking Bloodfern Loam raises Power.

You might just have to work in small steps, taking notes and doing math along the way. That is the way I had to do it, anyway. Good luck!

EDIT: You can also search my PPT username for my last few posts. Four of them were of maxing out certain actions to certain ingredients. That might help more.

I don't know if this has been noted, but the SECOND time we have to make spectral essence, how do we get the target value if we have to crush and soak to the max? Do we have to add a different ingredient?
