There also seems to be a significantly higher occurance of Faerie Quests today. So far, I've already had four (as of about 12:00 NST)

That would be because the Birthday Sidebar increases Random Events. This has been stated multiple times, in the news and editorial.

Quick question! Are you allowed to take advantage of free training on you side accounts? Or only your main? And if you are, can you do it at the same time on more than one account?

you can also do games 5x today including sponsor games other years you could just play games like merca chase 2 5x on thier birthday but now... I'm not getting off neopets at all today so i can play all the games 5x

Thank goodness I only use my lab pet as my selected pet, just in case I get any bad RE's..

That's why I usually keep my plain red Kougra (who may eventually end up being a lab rat) as my active pet. If my Eyrie or Peophin got hit by that wretched boochi I'd cry. A RE that can change your pet's color is just pure evil!

I've only gotten one RE so far today, found 20NP on the floor. I hope I get a few more good ones today. *crosses fingers*

It should be mentioned, in case you're stupid like me, that's the Swashbuckling Academy at Krawk Island (not the Training School at Mystery Island >>).

Only the Swashbuckling Academy ever gives out free training (like on your birthday, Neopets' birthday and the special pet days like Korbat Day, Gelert Day, etc.)

Ghosts stole money from me twice, my Koi got sick from the WoE, and the Golden Pteri didn't give me a darn thing because none of my pets are Pteris.

...okay, okay, I did get 151 NP from the Tooth Faerie and 500 NP from Treasure Hunt. And the avatar. So it hasn't been a total loss. But nothing near what you guys are experiencing.
